OUR BABY is HOME! After 23 days, we are proud to announce KJ has graduated from the NICU/PICU!!

We give ALL the Glory to God! God blessed KJ with strength, healing, will power! God provided us with the best family, friends, medical team, all the outpouring support, prayers, meals, resources etc! We are so grateful! We have a long road ahead of us still, but doctors are confident he is safe to be home with us!

Love,
The Jackson🤍🙏🏽

As beautiful and special as it has been to finally have him earthside with us, it has also been an incredibly scary journey. Today marks day 12 in the NICU. Our sweet boy has already endured so much! Countless tests, scans, and procedures as doctors work to understand an ongoing health issue. During this time, we’ve been fully present by his side, taking everything one moment at a time while searching for answers.

As we slowly begin climbing out of this dark season, we finally have some clarity.

KJ has Laryngomalacia, also known as a floppy airway. This causes him to struggle with breathing and eating, which can make his oxygen levels drop. We know we still have a long road ahead, but we wanted to update everyone and share a little of our journey.

Becoming first-time parents is emotional enough, but becoming NICU parents has brought every emotion imaginable  fear, stress, hope, overwhelm, heartbreak, and gratitude all at once. More than anything, this experience has pushed us to lean on God more deeply than ever before. Our faith has truly been tested.

There were moments where the fear of losing our baby boy felt unbearable. He deserves a full, healthy, beautiful life, and I would switch places with him in a heartbeat. But through it all, God has carried us. KJ is healing, we finally have answers, and we know God has been beside us every step of the way. He has blessed us with an incredible medical team, amazing family and friends, and the strength to walk through this together as new parents.

Our boy is so strong. He has already lived up to his name in every way possible.

For now, we will remain in the NICU until we are fully confident that baby KJ can breathe and eat comfortably on his own.

Thank you all so much for the prayers, love, support, and positive thoughts. Please continue to keep our sweet boy in your prayers. 💙
