Imagine… imagine starting a GF Instagram page 3 + years ago and making friends for life with SO much in common? That’s what happens isn’t it in this community? …
Everyone is so genuine & lovely!

It’s beyond amazing to meet you all in the real world and connect because we’re all REAL people and not fake/filtered 😂

I’ve had a break from posting, simply because life is BUSY and as a Mom of 2, running a home and working full time I simply don’t have the time to make my food look pretty 😂 it’s stone cold by time I’ve got to eat it these days! But I had to post this beautiful selection of photos from our girly lunch date this weekend ✨

El, Kasia & I had the pleasure of eating at a 100% gluten free restaurant 😮‍💨 … read it again if ya want 😉

@theoxfordplace is the only 100% gluten free restaurant in Leeds!! Husband & Wife team, Dennis and Lana have created a hidden gem! They bring over 30 years of combined experience in catering, including a decade working in a Michelin Star restaurant. This knowledge – along with their reputation for quality service, allergen awareness and delicious dishes – has ensured that Oxford Place remains Leeds’ top Coeliac restaurant, with fine dining options to suit every taste.

My starter was insane 🔥 i had the spinach and ricotta pancake served in a rich tomato sauce. I wanted more when I’d eaten it!

The main just stunned me, I’ll be honest the photos on Trip Advisor made me not look forward to the haddock and chips but when mine & El’s came out I was licking my lips… talk about good value for money! The haddock was beautifully cooked, pure white and in the most delicate, fresh, not greasy batter 🤤… it would have been amazing on its own but it comes with the most luxurious chips and homemade tartare sauce 🫠 … unreal and I’m pleased I have had the opportunity to visit! I’ll be back for sure 🧡

Saturday in Leeds with my girlies @samantha.egan_ and @kasiasplate 🤍

We went to a 100% gluten free restaurant @theoxfordplace , which was incredibleeeeee and felt so weird not asking 292727 questions to the waiter 😂

We struggled with the menu as we wanted everything, in the end I went for the beetroot and vegan cheese arancini and for main the biggest fish in the sea and chips 😏 it was a beautiful and was the best catch up with my two gingers over great food 🤤

At last I got to try @vidabakery iconic rainbow cake! And it did not disappoint 🌈

I have been wanting to eat this cake for a lonnnng time, and was delighted to do so on my gf bakery crawl with @kasiasplate last weekend when it was still sunny ☀️

In the vibrant Brick Lane, Vida is like a little rainbow oasis with gorgeous cupcakes on display and huge cakes from which you can choose a slice.

I had a cup of tea with coconut milk as they are a 100% gluten-free and vegan establishment.

Kasia had wanted to try the tiramisu cake but it had sold out the day before - so a perfect reason to return and try more cakes!! She had the coconut cake instead.

So, the rainbow cake. The slice was HUGE but of course I managed to eat every last crumb, and there was a perfect amount of buttercream - lovely thin layers inside and a thin coating on the outside of the cake. Delicious!

Beautiful MASSIVE cake slices from @thepolkadotbakery which I bought last weekend on my gf bakery crawl with @kasiasplate

Celia makes all the goodies herself and runs her stall at weekends in Spitalfields Market in London.

What a treat these were! The first two photos are of the pumpkin spice cake slice and the apple crumble cake slice, both of which I cut into smaller pieces but then ate the total slice both times 😝😝

Swipe across to see the notice about ingredients and allergens. It was so lovely as a coeliac to be bake to choose ANY of the items.

Lemon meringue cupcake from @freefrombakehse and it was delicious! I love a tangy, citrusy cake and this hit the spot.

This is the second of three posts about the amazing @freefrombakehse and its great selection of gluten-free bakes, many of which are vegan as well.

@kasiasplate and I went for a bakery crawl on Sunday around London and this was our first stop In Borough Market. I’ll be back!

To be honest, she’d probably go somewhere a bit more garish with lots of candyfloss, *but* maybe she’s maturing a bit and has learnt that the best place to go is actually Lab 22. Are we still talking about Barbie? Maybe… 👀

Bloody love this place. Went for @kasiasplate’s graduation yesterday and it was the perfect venue. Top service from Ewan and the rest of the team, top drinks, just a really good experience. Thank you once more for a lush visit 🙏🏻

Strawberry White Chocolate Cheesecake (Gf & Vegan) - I made this when we had a visitor a few weeks ago, and it was a lovely cheesecake for the occasion!

This is @kasiasplate 's White Chocolate Cheesecake recipe.
I made a couple of tweaks: Increased the digestive mix so it used up two packets completely (just increase your ratio of other ingredients to digestives)
I lined the outside of the tin with strawberry slices.
I made a strawberry purée by reducing down some @tescofood strawberries till the mixture was thick, and then added this bit by bit as I poured the white chocolate mixture in.

Topped with fresh strawberries and raspberries.

Next time I would add a little more icing sugar, as the strawberry purée did make the mixture a little less set (though it still held, ➡️ to last photo to see!)

Gorgeous recipe, if you've not yet tried one of @kasiasplate 's cheesecakes you really need to!

@violife_foods cream cheese
@coconutcollab double cream
@moo_free_chocolates white chocolate

S'mores Cookie Pie (Gf & Vegan) - I love vegan marshmallows! I've recently discovered @dandiesuk and used them in the cookie pie and to decorate. Then ate the rest of the marshmallows! 😅

This is the cookie base from @kasiasplate 's cheesecake recipe, it's excellent on its own (though I recommend the cheesecake, it's divine!)

I used @nibblesimply choc chips, @alpro coconut m*lk, @tescofood baking margarine and @little_pod #realvanilla extract in the mixture, and decorated with @sweetfreedomuk chocolate brownie sauce, @creativenature @magibles_official 'malteasers' and @dandiesuk marshmallows.

Absolutely delicious!

These last few days have been a crazy blur of looking after the little man after his asthma attack Monday! He's been fab taking his steroids and his ventolin what feels like 200 times a day! 🙈

So I'm relaxing right now writing a list of all the companies which will be at next Saturday's @freefromevents in @woolwichworks - I'll be the one with the Granny trolley again ready for my purchases!!!!

Who's got their ticket?! I'm so excited to buy some of my faves AND try some new products!!!
