Kat will be staying in NYC!

With so many wonderful options to choose from, she has found her place in Marymount Manhattan’s Modern BFA Program.

Kat, we are so incredibly proud of you as you prepare to take this next step in your dance journey!

London Part 2

The reason we traveled to London and the only event we planned- visiting Trinity Laban with Kat. 🩷 So exciting to share this experience with her!

Everything else was exploring and stopping in wherever called to us. Such a joyful trip!

Senior year- if you have had a child reach this milestone, you know just how wonderful and also difficult this year can be. So much hard work, such a roller coaster of emotions.

That is why I wanted to take a minute during this incredibly fast paced year to say just how proud we are of you, Kat. You are navigating this mostly on your own in NYC, and now you have the tough decision of choosing between such prestigious dance conservatory programs. Look how far you have come. And imagine where you’ll go! 🤍

LONG, SAPPY POST ALERT.

As I prep for my last show, I am sitting here feeling incredible gratitude.

For @garrett708 for your and @whatthepstandsfor for your vision and expertise. We all know this production was 🔥. For seeing Velma in me and granting me the freedom to play and make her my own. She came at the most perfect time.

For the gift of such a long run to keep making discoveries. She is arguably one of the hardest female roles in all of musical theatre history. I didn’t know that my body could physically do this. It felt like I ran a mini marathon every night. I’m so grateful that I stayed healthy and strong — we all did. Not one person called out of a show in 8 weeks.

For my husband for holding down the fort at home so I could do this. Our kids remain the luckiest. ❤️

For my perfect co-star @danawinkle for meeting me every night with her grace, passion, talent and joy. You were my biggest cheerleader and so incredibly supportive. I never did figure out how to hate you on stage. 🤣 I’ll never forget our late-night practice sessions, pep talks, or our love squeeze at the end of “Hot Honey”. I simply could not have done it alone. 😭❤️

For @joylynnjacobs my partner in so many scenes and song, you are perfection and I have loved every second with you. Our “Class” will always be one of my favorite theatrical experiences.

And for the rest of the magnificent cast, orchestra and crew - what an honor.

For @richardfman, Gail Ragland, @jeeeves81, @andreagann and the rest of the @artshhi staff, this couldn’t be a lovlier place to work.

Lastly for the friends and family who came all the way to HH to see us and to the audiences who have cheered us on these past 8 weeks. Chita writes in her memoir: “ To me audiences are audiences. They come into the theatre from NYC or Keokuk, Iowa with the same hopes and expectations. To be entertained… and to tell the performers. Move me, astonish me, break my heart.” I couldn’t agree more.

Goodnight, Velma.
