I have to admit that I have a bit of a soft spot for watches with stone dials. The use of these materials in the production of the dials makes each piece not only interesting but also unique. Today I’m sharing photos of a watch that captivated me with its dial. I’ve already had a few watches from Venezianico, and each one left a positive impression on me. The Nereide model with a malachite dial is no exception. The green color and texture of its dial are downright mesmerizing. I realized that it’s been quite a while since I last posted photos of this watch. Today, it’s time to change that. I think that, after all, this timepiece deserves to appear here more often than just once every month or so. The BB58 is, after all, a wonderful watch that I simply love coming back to. I appreciate its retro design. And here’s a thought from me. Unlike the Nivada, the BB58 doesn’t feel like a watch from another era. It isn’t a model that’s been transferred almost one-to-one from a 1970s catalog to today. Tudor has created a very contemporary watch that’s heavily inspired by historical models. You wear it like a modern watch, though you can’t deny its style. On the other hand, however, following the release of the second-generation BB58 this year, the first-generation model has already gone down in history. So from this perspective, one could probably say that we are dealing with a historic watch. Another Speedy Tuesday and another set of photos of my Omega Speedmaster Professional. But am I satisfied with these photos? Something doesn’t quite feel right. I’m not entirely sure what it is, but I wouldn’t say I’m satisfied with them or proud of them in any way. I really wondered if there was any point in posting them today. On the other hand, the algorithms have started hiding my posts from potential viewers again. I’m starting the week with a watch that tells the story of one of the most spontaneous purchases I’ve ever made. How else can I describe the fact that I first heard about this brand on the very day I ordered it? Literally, I ordered the watch in the evening—that same afternoon, I had no idea this watch even existed. But never mind that. The most important thing is that this spontaneous purchase has become a permanent part of my watch collection.
