I know people have talked about this but Rafayel’s eyes are so expressive, so vulnerable, the tension between them because of his eye contact and the intimacy. The intensity of Rafayel’s eyes are beautiful! One of my favourite features on him. People also have theories on Rafayel’s eye colours that are fascinating! the blue colour signifies his ties to Lemuria and the pink colour signifies the desire he has for mc! Which is why his eyes always darken to the dark magenta pink colour when he is wanting to be close to mc!!!!! I love mc and Rafayel predator & prey dynamic it’s so good! Rafayel being a merman is literally the hottest thing about him. Rafayel is always luring mc in by pretending to be weak or showing his weak side to lure her in! Then when he has her where he wants her he shows his true intentions, he becomes more dominant and looks forward to her reactions after figuring it out! Even in the recent ebb and flow card rising tides he told her to leave incase he did anything against her wishes but she stayed with him and looked after him. Despite the fact he’s at his weakest and won’t obey her command! He’s always been one step ahead but mc is now catching onto it, questioning him and she enjoys this side of him! When you listen to eventide recitative he says “why do you have that expression on your face, you’re not used to me being like this, it’s ok you will be soon” I love the character development since then and all his cards! Rafayel’s whole being as merman is literally so peak!!
