We were just kids once.

Now we’re the ones behind the bar, in the kitchen, running events, and holding the space.

Can you guess who’s who?

Katie Richards makes figurative and surreal sculptures and installations focusing on the human body and our collective experiences.
“I compare my process to a child playing in the mud who occasionally is well read.”
“My artistic practice helps remove my fear of existence by mapping the human condition as well as understanding the people around me. My work is often a blend of organic and industrial materials that reflect the life around us.
To start making work I need some form of caffeine and video essays. My creativity can only take place in an environment where I am constantly learning.”

5 Minutes till Midnight is my first ever curated show!! All of these amazing artists are exploring how we are born to then grow and age. Through a narrative lens, we explore the continuous cycle of life and how the fear of the end forces us to safeguard ourselves with wonder and imagination. Come support us on October 24th at the Carolyn M. Wilson gallery!!!
