SDCC #7: ✅

San Diego Comic-Con is always the event I most look forward to during the year, and 2026 didn’t disappoint. I got to see tons of cool things, was spoiled with awesome events, and spent time around wonderful people.

What more can you ask for?

Another SDCC is in the books and what a fabulous time it was!!! Only at SDCC can I walk into a party to find Celeborn/Vecna/Jamie Campbell Bower is my DJ and then run into 500 of my closest friends at the bar. Only at SDCC, can I wander the streets and find my favorite characters (and this year, my ship!!) plastered like giants across all of the buildings!! Only at SDCC does my whole inbox transform into real life all around me! Truly, SDCC magic is like no other!

This year, I added panel moderation and participation to the roster and it was so much fun! I was honored to help @webtoonofficial and @darkhorsecomics at the event and to speak on a topic close to my heart, the intersection of fandom and journalism, with @themarysue.

I was also lucky enough to attend panels for some of my favorite series and movies!! Among other things, I put the exclamation point on my @amcsannerice coverage as I opened the door on all the @theringsofpower adventures to come! Thanks to the team @nerdist for their incredible work, on and off the ground: @osteoferocious, @lee_travis_ , @geekboyeric, @heyitsmattcaron, @functional_nerd, @house_walsh, and @writertaigooden!!!

But, of course, as ALWAYS, the most beautiful part was seeing all my incredible friends, from industry, fandom, and beyond! There was a great camaraderie in the air this year, a felt desire to support one another in complicated times, and I couldn’t be more grateful to be a part of all of it with all of you wonderful people (pictured and not pictured)!!!

Can’t wait to do it all again next year!!! 😈🩸🧝‍♂️💍👏

I love you so much Hank. I will miss you for the rest of my life, my sweet baby pupdog. I met you on my first date with Katcy and then my life changed forever. I feel so lucky that our lives intertwined and I got to be your papa. We were a little family. I haven't stopped crying since we said goodbye. I already miss our long walks together. Thank you for being the bravest boy in the whole world. Sweet dreams, Hanky 💔
