In April of this year, Noah Khan released a song titled “end of August”. At the time, August seemed so distant. Yet, it arrived without leaving me time to slow down and appreciate the busy months between. At the end of August—today— I turn 18.

This past year has been the best year of my life. I had an amazing senior year volleyball season surrounded by an incredible team and coaching staff, I got with the love of my life and my best friend, I graduated high school, I traveled to my favorite destinations, I became apart of a collegiate volleyball team and so much more.

I believe sometimes we don’t recognize the good things we have until they abruptly end. This post isn’t to highlight my achievements nor boast about a certain aspect of my life, but rather serve as a reminder of how faithful and loving Jesus is and always has been.

I failed so many times this year. Some moments I was on fire for Christ, others times I felt too guilty to talk to God. But his presence never left— and this post is proof of his love.

Thank you Jesus for an amazing year and the opportunity to continue to spread your light.
