Courtroom 600. #nuremberg

Between November 1945 and October 1946, the leaders of the Nazi regime were made to answer for their crimes in this room.

Today, two men who fought to bring that day about sat in it.

#wwii veteran Hilbert Margol, 102. Jack Myers, 103.

They came back to see where justice was done.

Just finished season 6 of Beverly Hills!!

loved the season just felt like it was based a lot around yolanda’s lyme disease and discussing whether she really had it or not which was quite sad.

Excited to start season 7!

MEET THE CANCELLED REAL HOUSEWIVES OF SAN DIEGO🐰

Around 2013/14 Bravo was testing a new potential installment known as The Real Housewives of San Diego featuring 5 women who had some sort of association with Playboy, test filming was done but production didn’t saw much potential for this franchise 2 out of the 5 women would later join housewives Kathryn Edwards would join Season 5 of Beverly Hills and Carmella Garcia Season 20 of Orange County, the remaining woman are Destiny Davis, Nicole Dahm, and Brande Roderick. If this series was to be it would’ve mark history as the 3rd installment in the same state with Orange County and Beverly Hills originating in California.

Since then we have taken 100’s of veterans back to their #battlefield, helped 100’s of veterans through our @bdfstronghold program, and connected 100’s of @bdf_nextgen students with the greatest generation.

Celebrating 250 years of America, celebrating EVERYONE that has contributed to this country and worked hard to make it a safer and even better place to call home. Who better to highlight than our WWII veterans. They served in order to create a brighter future for generations, a lesson all of us can embrace in everyday life. So grateful this 4th to be in the company of my @bestdefensefoundation family and my adopted grampa, US Army PFC Calvin Shiner 🇺🇸🎇🗽

June 27, 2013. Thirteen years ago today.

I first met Major General Harry Rockafeller in September 2012. This photograph was taken on June 27, 2013, when I invited him over for dinner at our house.

That evening, Harry shared incredible stories from his service with the 4th Armored Division during World War II, but just as captivating were his memories of growing up in Asbury Park during the 1930s.

The audio in this Reel was recorded that night. In it, Harry recalls witnessing the Morro Castle drift ashore after catching fire in September 1934. He and his brother rode their bicycles from Spring Lake to Asbury Park, slipped into the Paramount Theatre, and watched from inside Convention Hall as the burning ocean liner came to rest just offshore.

Just a few months after this photograph was taken, Harry was a guest at our October 2013 wedding, held inside that very same Convention Hall where, nearly eight decades earlier, he had witnessed one of the Jersey Shore’s most unforgettable events.

This was years before the Harry Rockafeller statue, before I connected with @donnie_edwards, @katedwards8 & the @bestdefensefoundation , and long before taking World War II veterans back to the battlefields of Normandy was even a thought in my mind.

At the time, I simply knew I had made a remarkable new friend.

Little did I know that friendship would shape the course of my life, inspire a promise to preserve Harry’s legacy, and ultimately lead me to helping members of America’s Greatest Generation return to the very battlefields where they helped change the course of history.

102 year old WWII veteran, Wally King, having a beer with @bestdefensefoundation co-founder @katedwards8 in #saintemereeglise

Wally is all about those kisses from @katedwards8

Wally with his amazing caregiver and granddaughter

The Stop Bar is an iconic spot in #SainteMereEglise to grab a beer and is always packed, and always a good time.

Wally did not want to leave

Wally flew 75 combat missions as a fighter pilot in P-51s & P-47s. Wally provided close air support for allied forces in the Battle Of The Bulge.

@jackcarrusa wasn’t about to miss this opportunity to talk to Wally.

Wally has so many incredible stories.

Everyone wants a little time with the King

Still got it at 102!

If you’ve ever had the pleasure of seeing Wally King in person, you’ve been hit with this one.

Seeing all the kids, who are so excited and appreciative, is always one of the veterans favorite moments.

Thank you, Wally King, for your service! #takingcareoftheoneswhotookcareofus @delta
