A summer of Music in the Mountains, captured. 🎶

Here are 30-second recaps from each show, filmed by Kate Hammermeister our Digital Marketing Coordinator.

Kate also turned the summer into a short film, showing at The Waypoint during the Shootout Film Festival in Big Sky. Grab tickets for the 6pm or 8pm showing, and maybe you’ll spot yourself in it.

Huge thanks to every band that played this summer, with a special shoutout to The Tiny Band for bringing the Fourth of July energy!

This post holds a whole lot of summer. 💛

As we head into Music in the Mountains tonight, we’re looking back at all the Thursdays spent on the lawn and, more importantly, all the people who make them happen.

Without Piper (our lovely intern), Erica & Tamara, there would be no barricades, merch tents, sponsor tents… and probably a lot less glitter. ✨ These three are the girl power behind setup every single week. They haul, build, sell merch, apply glitter and somehow keep the whole thing moving.

Without Brian, Katie, Bex, Jesine, Brodie and our incredible volunteers, there would be no show, no fundraising and no sponsors helping keep these concerts free.

Without Rebecca, Shannon, Wilson & Cicada, there would be no free art for kids each Thursday. 🎨

Without Kate & Olive (our other lovely intern), we wouldn’t have all these epic photos and videos to remember the summer by. 📷

Without Jereco, there would be no lights or sound. 🔊

Without Saddled Peak Security & Vibe Squad, there might be trouble… and definitely some bad vibes.

Without our sponsors, and Community Nonprofits, this whole series simply wouldn’t be possible.

Without our food and drink vendors, we’d all be very hungry and very thirsty.

And without the bands on stage and YOU out there on the lawn, well… it would be a pretty terrible concert.

We think you get the point.

Music in the Mountains takes a whole lot of people, hands, heart and community to pull off every Thursday - and what a summer it has been.

We’re not done yet. See you on the lawn tonight, and then one more time next week for Metal in the Mountains. 🤘

WHAT. A. SUMMER. 💛

So much fun seeing bluegrass at Music in the Mountains! Magoo brought the energy, Blue point got us started, and the field was full of familiar faces enjoying another Thursday night together. 🪕🏔️🎶

We love seeing how these shows bring our community together week after week.

Thanks for coming out, dancing, listening, catching up with friends, and making Music in the Mountains such a special part of summer in Big Sky.

Thanks to our sponsors @montagebigsky @spanishpeaksfoundation & nonprofit @bigskyfoodbank for helping make this happen!

See you this Thursday! 🤍

Nothing beats a summer night of live music in Big Sky 🦅🎸⭐️

Thank you to Pinky and the Floyd for bringing an unforgettable show to Len Hill Park! Yall absolutely killed it bringing a full evening of legendary tunes.

To everyone who came out to spend the evening with us, thank you for being part of what makes Music in the Mountains so special. Seeing the park filled with friends, families, and dancing folk alike is what it’s all about.

A heartfelt thank you to Big Sky Sotheby’s International Realty and UnitedHealthcare for helping make this concert possible. Thank you to those who donated to MT State Parks and ACBS. Your support keeps free live music thriving in our community.

We’ll see you at the next show! 💛
