Something you may or may not know is that this little flower farm started as a tiny 30x30 plot a few years ago—an experiment, a hope, and a dream.

At the time, even that felt like an absolutely massive stretch for me. I had no idea what I was doing, but I felt so pulled to try. To learn how to grow at a scale beyond my own home garden. To see what might happen.

And the whole time, I had this feeling deep down that I was learning and preparing for something much bigger. I just couldn’t see exactly what that “bigger” thing was yet. Honestly, I’m not sure any of us can fully see it even now although we are catching more glimpses of it. What I do know is that we are totally aligned in our efforts to realize it.

But something I’ve learned is that a dream like this absolutely requires people in your corner—and not just any people. People who see the vision and choose it alongside you. People who push you when your strength is waning, encourage you when you hit another hurdle, and remind you what you’re building when you start to doubt yourself.

A huge reason I still have the fire I do is because of these two women, @_andrafarley_ and @heathdahlias who have been beside me since day one. Truly.

There is no way to overstate how important that is, especially when the dream requires this much actual physical labor. This farm asks a lot of us. Like… a lot. 😂

We spend most days in the trenches together. Literally. Hands and knees in the dirt—weeding, spreading compost, transplanting, harvesting. THE SWEATING. So much sweating.

And that kind of work is really, really hard to do alone.

The long and short of it is that this farm simply would not exist in the way it does today without these two. They caught the vision with me before there was much of anything to see, and they’ve kept choosing it alongside me ever since.

I’m so grateful for them. And I’m so grateful this little dream exists. 🫶🏽
