You have put in the work, trusted the process, and continued to grow both on and off the field. It has been so special to watch your journey and we couldn’t be more excited for what’s ahead.

Through the toughest seasons of your life, you’ll look back and realize how capable you are. If I’m being honest, I don’t even really remember this summer. Grief changes everything. How time passes. What really matters. There were some light in the dark days, but there were a lot of dark days.

I moved myself and the business, lost Dusty and started a new job. Reevaluated a LOT of my relationship with softball, as much as I’ve preached to all you. “Who are you outside of this game?” Over the years, I didn’t listen to my own advice. I stood there wondering WHO I was outside of it, too?

What I keep coming back to is it’s just a game. It’s just something we do.. and don’t get me wrong, it’s incredible. This sport, the connections, all of it. You can still need to step back from things you love. Maybe it’s temporary, maybe it’s forever.

August came and I was wearing thin, I needed that time off. Bad. Softball fall season kicked off this weekend and lessons resume today. I’m ready.

I love starting lessons when everyone has been off, you see that little spark come back for the game because you’ve had time to MISS it. For the first time in a long time, I gave myself time to miss it too.

So, here’s to another season of softball. The marathon begins now. For a lot of you, this spring is the last one of your high school careers. For some of you, this is it.

I’ll always believe sports give girls an incredible edge, when you’re willing to be a TRUE competitor. I’m thankful for my athletic background, I know I lead rooms with confidence because of the failure I experienced in sports. I know I can get back up and brush myself off from getting knocked down. I know that even after the worst games of my life, the next one I could break records and make history. That’s the game. That’s also life.

Be fearless in the pursuit of what’s sets your soul on fire ❤️‍🔥
