POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

My elementary school-speech speakers notes on my dreams in life, which I find extremely relevant to the present and wanted to share. Hope you take either a laugh or a bit of meaning from them ♡

Most profound takeaways in my opinion (from last 2 pictures):

I am proud to be the future of this girl. I will strive to grow on and give breath to the sky and Earth. For her, for my mom. For this one wild and precious life.
In the pain and stress of the world, these words are needed. Hope is needed to carry us.

The resonance of these words shows me that I have stayed true to myself and my spirit over many years of multitudinous change.
I know in my heart my mom is living on; feeling every beautiful sunrise and sunset. Is free.
Someday I will be free by her side.

🦮 Leash handling is an art.
.
👩🏻‍🏫 In my opinion handling a dog on a leash is a leadership skill that a person must learn and ultimately master to be able to translate a clear, kind and assertive message to their dog through the leash. Only then can a dog truly understand what is expected of them and only then can the pair enjoy a walk together.
.
👩🏻‍🏫 There are four different leash handling skills I teach. I very carefully and strategically chose the appropriate technique depending on the dog, the behaviour we are working through, the environment as well as the level of distractions.
.
👀In this video for example, Kate is practicing her leash handling skills for her very first time, while Onyx is learning how to walk nicely beside her on a loose leash. The two techniques are being demonstrated here.
.
☝🏽First, an an outside turn, which is turning away from Onyx.
.
✌🏽 Second is an inside turn. Which is turning into Onyx’s space.
.
👩🏻‍🏫If Onyx choses to pull forward Kate communicates a verbal cue and changes direction to redirect his attention back with her. Then they can begin to walk nicely side by side again. With practice, consistency, clear communication and accountability, Kate will stand proudly in her leadership role while Onyx will understand his position is beside her, not in front of her and fall into place in his role as a follower.
.
If you need help with loose leash walking or any other behaviour you may be struggling with reach out to me and let’s talk about your goals.

WE TRAIN ANY BRRED, ANY AGE, ANY BEHAVIOUR, RESULTS GUARANTEED 💯🫡
