Before you start defending yourself, please read this report and reflect on it.
.
I have done my own reflecting, and that is exactly why I wrote this Sataya Reef report. Writing this took me through a whole rollercoaster of emotions.
.
This article guides you through the impact of dolphin-watching tourism on spinner dolphins, who are highly vulnerable to human interaction. However, if you let it, it goes way beyond that, covering not only spinners, but also whale, shark, and other marine life-watching tourism.
.
🫂 A big thank you to all my friends who supported me through this.
🫶🏻 A big thank you to @freediving.diezel for putting me in touch with José Martins, one of the leading dolphin specialists.
🐬A big thank you to @hepca_org for your patience, support, and the video calls we shared while discussing the spinners of the Red Sea.
🙌🏻 Big thanks to @klaudiahajto for editing and proofreading the Polish version of this report.
🤯 A massive thank you to Kate Cullen @katesomatic for editing and proofreading the English version of this text, giving it the much-needed touch of true environmental journalism. Without you, this wouldn’t be what it is today!
🩵🧘‍♀️And, of course, to my beloved Kate @content_traveler for being here, supporting me, and putting up with my frustrations over Sataya Reef’s mass tourism and the freedivers who contribute to it.

Too little tags for this post 🥹

10395779392 memories in six weeks, compressed to silly reel 🥹

A bittersweet “see you later” to my semi-home, that little pin on my world map that seems to have its own gravitational pull. A magnet. Sandy Gold, Dahab.

Bitter because saying goodbye to people I care about (even when most of these goodbyes are really just “see you laters”) is never easy.

Sweet because I love change, a new adventure is on its way, and I’m heading off to hug other people who hold a special place in my heart.

Not to turn this into a read of Homer’s Odyssey proportions, let me just say:

Thank you. I am grateful.

I like the shape this gratitude has been moulding itself into.

See you, Dahab. 🤍

-101m ☺️

My first dive to 3 digits 🤩 What a wonderful dive it was despite the red card I received for little mistake 🥰🥰🥰

Diving became so different when life turned lighter. A calm mind and letting go of all the external noise and worries changed EVERYTHING. There is no pressure but pure joy in the blue 💙 I am loving my new depth experience.

📸 Thank you for the video @martinzajac_freediver , what a beautiful surprise 🤩🤗🥰 (if there is no diveye, just ask Martin 😬)

Thank you @freedivingworldsharm for creating such an amazing circumstances for trying new depths 🥰💙🌊
