I thought I had prepared myself for his loss. But this busy season of weddings and heightened anxiety has shown me how much I relied on my Kota Wota. He was a weird cavalier. Perfectly content to be near you but didn’t need to be touching you. I never knew how special of a bond we had until I had decided to let him go.

I miss him so much. There are days when I come back home thinking I’ll see his trot up to me for pets and then a split second later I realize that’s not the reality anymore. I miss him more than words can say. I hate that he was my soul dog so much early in my life. He was and is my boy.

A beautiful first touch for Maddie & Drew, right outside the barn.

Swipe to slide four to see the butterflies that joined them for the moment. If that isn’t a little wedding-day magic, we don’t know what is. 🦋
