A few days in LA put the career I’ve been building into focus.

I spent time with the NFL helping players think about the brands they’re building beyond football. Got an early look at what Slate is creating. Had a real conversation about influence at VidCon. Then ended the trip supporting friends at Family Style.

All of it sits inside the work I’ve spent years building, partnerships, brand strategy and understanding how things move through culture.

But what made this trip hit differently was looking around and seeing my business partners, my friends, Kate and Thomas all somewhere in the picture.

Yes, I’m aware my golf game needs work. I’m only two weeks in, can I live? 😅

🍒🍒🍒PROBABLY MORE BTS THAN YOU WANT💣💣💣

Howdy good people!! Welcome to another episode of “What happened to the time?!?” Where I post something from months ago that I meant to post MONTHS AGO!

This episode is from my second trip to NYC back in April for the exquisite and hotly-anticipated annual @cherrybombe gala, JUBILEE!

Kerry & Team have really upleveled this entire experience. Last time I attended Jubilee was back in 2024 and oh how the gals have grown! It was a full-blown, legit GALA. Stars, the hottest and best chefs in NY, curated snacks and bevvies, and enough cookbooks to build a culinary castle with. All wrapped up in every hue of pink and red and glamour! 🤩🥂💖 Truly, what an amazing day!

All the moms were there: the Maher sisters’ mom, Kerry’s mom, and of course my mom! Matriarchal vibes!

Thank you to @adriannamaher and @liviemaher for being the most fun and welcoming to share a stage with! And for signing Mom’s copy of the magazine! 🥰💝

Huge thanks to @kateyoungwilliams for finding me in the sea of women to bring me a familiar hug from PDX!

Massive thank you to the many wonderful humans who shared their love and passion of women’s sports and spaces made for us with me throughout the day. 🥰

So eternally proud of women in the food and beverage industry that have changed the game and continually smash systems to create spaces, opportunities, visibility, joy, vision, and of course the most delicious experiences. ✨🫶✨

Life was getting crazy. Too crazy. Decided to take a breath & surprise my best friend & newborn nephew in Portland. Showed up on her doorstep and FaceTimed her (she didn’t answer for 30 minutes, but whatever 🤣)

The power of a thirty year friendship is forever healing ❤️‍🩹

The Collab of the Year has arrived.
Meet your newest Collab Cousin 💜

We spent 22 days in the hospital.
Not the plan.

The plan was two days in mid-December, not all of November. We were there so long I knew the nurses, security, and Starbucks staff by name. They started asking me what the Collab of the Year was.

Like many people, we had a due date. But due to medical complications, our little guy had to arrive early. About four weeks early. It was one of the scariest experiences of my life. So many unknowns.

Machines. Cords. Nurses, doctors, specialists coming in and out at all hours. Day and night blurring together.

To add another layer, my wife and I are both entrepreneurs. She’s running her ice cream company Kate’s, still wrapping up business calls while all of this was happening. And yes, the team and I still produced Collab of the Year from the hospital.

But none of that mattered more than making sure mom and baby were safe.

Turns out the most important collab this year had nothing to do with brands.

Thanks to the incredible people at Providence Portland Medical Center, we’re home healthy and together.

Appreciate everyone who checked in, sent love and DoorDash giftcards, or gave us space these last few weeks. Big love to our @nuna_usa fam.

Cousins, I’ll be back mid-January. I’m fully in dad mode.

Merry Christmas. Happy Holidays. Happy New Year. 💜
