IT’S THE CHARACTER YOU BUILD. 🤝

Skills matter but character matters more.

Stripes and belts don’t come from one good day, they come from how you’ve been showing up over time. 🕰️

This General Assembly was about recognizing that.
The way you train, the way you treat people, and the standard you keep even when no one is watching. 🥋

Congratulations to everyone who earned their stripes! 🦓

Watch til the end for a special moment! 👀 👸🏻

This week has been quite eventful for the OM BJJ folks! We had the opportunity to share the Mat with 4 world champs @thalisonvsoares @joaomiyao @paulomiyao @samuelnagai ✨ some of us even got the opportunity to roll them! 😱

Thank you @projectlifestylemnl for making this possible!

Did you spot Prof @katfish_’ moment at the end of the reel? 🖤

Day 5 here in the Philippines 🇵🇭 and today was my turn to share some knowledge!

We had a great morning on the mats with people from Korea 🇰🇷, Singapore 🇸🇬, and the local Filipino crew. Amazing energy from everyone!

During my seminars, I always like to share some of my favorite positions! showing the details on grips, angles, and how to distribute your weight the right way.
Small details make a big difference!

But more than techniques, I always talk about hard work.
The mat doesn’t lie. The harder and smarter you train, the more you improve.

Trust me 😮‍💨😅

Big thanks to @toffyilagan for make it happen and also to everyone who came out to the camp here in Manila. I really appreciate the support!

Tomorrow we head to La Union! 🌊🥋

Thank you Paref Woodrose School and PAREF Southridge School for allowing us to be part of your events. Thank you to the students and parents for seeking out your favorite burgers and spreading the word. We love your heartwarming patronage and for making The MunchLab one of the busiest food stalls.

The true magic of Jiu-Jitsu isn’t just in learning the art or perfecting techniques…. it’s in the bonds we build along the way. On these mats, strangers become teammates, teammates become brothers and sisters, and together we become family. 🏠
..
Bon Voyage @gilbert_asuque Safe travels and we’ll be waiting for you come April! ❤️

And to our coaches: From teaching us your best techniques to lifting us up, even in the smallest gestures like a tap on the back or helping us tie our belts, you are always there. Thank you for giving us your time and heart, gifts we’ll always carry with us. 🙏

Then back to kicking our butts tomorrow. 😅

Grateful to Prof Barry, Prof Mark, Prof Toffy, and Coach Jason for sharing wisdom that gives us plenty to reflect on. 💡

Our key takeaways? 📓

Being a great athlete is more than skill on the mats. It is about carrying integrity, character, and respect for each other’s differences in everything we do. As our team grows, strong communication and shared values keep us moving forward together. True strength shows in how we treat one another, not just how we train. 🥋

Big thanks to @conzaceph for helping keep us healthy and @blitzbar.co for the gift boxes. 🙏

Thank you to coach @emslens_1714 for always making us look good in photos! 📸
