It's ready for beading!

I love the colors in this project. I started it a little before the SAL began, for @katherinesstitchingchronicles birthday #bdaybelleSAL.

I didn't have access to Threadworx threads, so I replaced them with what I had on hand:
Threadworx 10585—I used the DMC color combination recommendation of 561/958
Threadworx 1097—I used the DMC recommendation, 606
Threadworx 1042—I used a variegated DMC thread, 115

I really liked the result.

I’ll use the recommended beading, but my question is: should I use invisible thread or DMC threads?

This past weekend was the Gathering Tread retreat and it was an absolute blast 🥰 My heart is overflowing with joy and appreciation for this community, and my face still hurts from all the laughing and meaningful conversations I had with stitchers, vendors, and Nora Corbett.

I never get much stitching done at retreats, but I managed to start the two Nora Corbett’s I planned to! Miss Spider and Miss Dragonfly. I’m so excited to continue working on them and have such special memories tied to them 💖

🕷️ Miss Spider - stitched on 28 count linen in Roseate from Enchanting Lair. My own red floss conversion

🪲 Miss Dragonfly - stitched on 32 count OOAK linen from @handdyedbyrolanda

Off to a decent start on @katherinesstitchingchronicles #bdaybellesal 🌸! I’m loving the variation in the ThreadworX floss so far—it gives a really lovely effect. Hope you’re having a lovely stitchy birthday!

I’m happy to report that I was successful and finished Cherry Magpie at Stitch North! It was so fun to have a project ready to finish at the retreat, and it was even more fun that three of my tablemates also had finishes the same day! 🍒💗🐦‍⬛
