Kathleen had an exciting study abroad this summer in Spain!! Here’s a little bit about her time abroad:

Studying abroad in Spain taught me so much about other cultures and learning how to jump into unfamiliar things. I took one of my core industrial engineering courses while there, and got the opportunity to tour some large manufacturing companies. For my program I stayed in Barcelona for a month, but also visited Tossa Del Mar Spain, Venice Italy, Chamonix France, and Geneva Switzerland. I’m so lucky to have experienced this and meet all the amazing people traveling with me.

- Wow. I have truly never dreaded making a post more than I have with this one. Posting this meant that it was officially over, and I wouldn’t get to see some of my favorite people like before. But thankfully this isn’t the end of our chapters together, but only the beginning. Camp Deegear has been one of the biggest blessings I have ever received, and I am so incredibly thankful. Each person that has become apart of this family, is so incredibly special, loved, and makes each moment that much better.
I am so excited to see the class of ‘26 thrive on the campus that I have been lucky enough to call my home this past year.
Have fun. Be safe. I love you all. ♥️♥️

thank you for giving me everything I needed and then some. The people in Camp Deegear brought an irreplaceable energy and new found home that makes this group so incredibly special. I am surrounded by the most giving, intentional, passionate, and deep loving people which I will forever be thankful for!

1300 People, 7 Sessions, 49 Camps, and I get this one! 🥹
Fish Camp was something I looked forward to for so long, but I don’t think I ever could’ve understood how much it would mean to me until I experienced it. Between the long stressful days, little to no sleep, inside jokes, yelling, and all the little moments in between, these people became so incredibly special to me. To my fellow counselors and chairs! Thank you for becoming some of my favorite people. Thank you for the laughs, the late nights, the hugs, the chaos, and for caring so deeply for me. I would do every boring meeting, every long hot day, and every exhausted drive home all over again if it meant getting to experience this with y’all just one more time. To my freshmen! I hope you know how much you are loved and how genuinely excited I am to watch you make Aggieland your home. Getting to be one of the first people to welcome you into this place was such a privilege. I hope years from now you remember how greatly you enjoyed fish camp. To Kathleen! I couldn’t have asked for a better partner to go through this experience with. Thank you for always matching the energy, making me laugh, and being someone I could count on through all the chaos. I’m so glad we got to take onFish Camp, and I wouldn’t have wanted to do it with anyone else! #perfpartz To the Mr. And Mrs. James Deegear! Thank you for opening up your household to us from day one! You took 24 counselors and loved them unconditionally before we even knew you existed. Thank you for treating the 26 of us as your own children and making sure that we feel like we belong! You were the most amazing namesakes for this amazing camp.
It’s weird spending so much time preparing for something and then suddenly it’s just… over. I am forever thankful for Camp Deegear, forever thankful for my people, and forever thankful that I got to be a tiny part of someone else’s Aggie story. Until next year, Lakeview! ❤️
