SHARE THE LOVE SATURDAY IS BACK!

It's been a little while since I've done one of these, but I think it's time to bring back one of my favourite things about this little corner of the internet: celebrating the wonderful people who make it feel like home.

When I first started sharing my love for books here, I never imagined how many beautiful connections would come from it. Somewhere between endless conversations about fictional characters, exchanging recommendations, laughing over our questionable reading decisions and occasionally having our hearts broken by authors, I found something I wasn't necessarily looking for. Friendship. 🥹

And while books may have brought us together, they've become only a small part of why these people mean so much to me.

Some have been here for a long time, others came into my life more recently. Some I've had the absolute pleasure of meeting in person, while others are still separated from me by screens and miles. But every single one of them has made this journey a little brighter.

So today, I'm celebrating five wonderful souls who deserve all the love and appreciation in the world. 🤎

And to everyone reading this, let's spread a little love today! 🫶🏻

Tag someone who has made your Bookstagram experience special, someone whose posts make you smile, or simply someone who deserves a little extra appreciation.

Because a little kindness goes a long way, and there's always room for more love in this community. 🍁🤎

💜🤍 Review 🤍💜

Book: The Last Starborn Seer
Series: Chronicles of Arcelia #1
Author: Venetia Constantine
Genre: High Fantasy
Rating: ⭐⭐⭐.75

This one is hard to review because for the most part I LOVED every aspect of this world, of the writing, of the magic system. The world building was phenomenal, I love when a book comes with an extensive glossary in the front - literal chills. I loved how unique it felt and I really loved the fact that while this book is classified as a high fantasy/romantic fantasy blend, the romance - what little there was of it - was more of a subplot and also one that is not straight forward. I also did this book on audio and I think that narration was absolutely brilliant.

However, I struggled to like most of the characters. There was just something about them that just didn't connect for me and because of this, I feel that I did not enjoy the book as much as I should have. From time to time I did enjoy Leilani, but the only character I can truly say I loved was Blayze. I think this world is so magnificent, with it history and it's moons and it's wonderful creatures, it's prophecies and the threat of the Sickening hanging over the land, if only I found more than one character I loved, I might have been able to enjoy it thoroughly.

Nevertheless, the middle of the book was really good plot and action wise and the ending left me wanting more - if only for Blayze - so I might just pick up the next book! I buddy read this with @katie.read.me and had such a fun time doing it! This is also a debut which I think is absolutely phenomenal and I am honestly obsessed with the covers in the series! 😍

Thank you, @jonathanballpublishers, for this absolutely stunning package ✨

Pick one trope and I'll share a quote. Be sure to check other people who choose the same quote, cause they might have a different one.🤭

You'll be surprised what you get, and I'll be more surprised to know that I wrote what you read(especially for the people who'd choose spice.)

Anyway, good luck, choose what ever comes to mind first.

Love 💜😉Kyra.

Thank you #TandemCollectiveGlobal and #PanMacmillanSouthAfrica 📖❤️

From Veronica Roth, the legendary author of the Divergent series, Seek the Traitor's Son is a dazzling, epic tale of war, fate and devastating love.

The daughter of a bounty hunter.
The knight sworn to protect her.
And the prophecy that destroys their lives . . .

Elegy Ahn did not ask for destiny to find her. She's a soldier defending her small country against a powerful enemy: the Talusar, who worship a Fever that brings death to everyone it touches . . . except those who it resurrects, forever changed. Rava Vidar is a Talusar general with a reputation for cruelty and triumph. And when Elegy and Rava first meet, it’s to hear a prophecy that could apply to either of them.

The prophecy declares that either one of them could carry their people to victory. But at the center of both of their fates is a man. A man who, Elegy is told, will bring her death. A man she’ll fall in love with. With two nations at stake, she and Rava are destined to collide. And when they do, only one will be left standing. Elegy intends to make sure it’s her.

Yesterday at #comiccon I got to share the stage with these two social media guru gooses. We spoke about all things algorithm vs authentic voices and how to promote your work of art using different platforms. So much gratitude to @lilium.artistry for putting this together and letting us into her world for a morning.
Excited to see our friendship morph into even more through the goose ship and so humbled by the support of like minded people.

Totally by accident I ended up dressing like Cher Horowitz instead of just focusing on horror warra fail😂🤣😭

Yes. The world feels a little off right now.

So let’s go somewhere better.

Back to the 90s and 2000s… when the music hit different and the nights actually meant something.

Backstage Pass is your ticket into that world.

No filters. No polish. Just what really happened behind the scenes.

Once you’re in… you might not want to leave.

If you could go back for one night… where would it be?
