For Bell senior weightlifter Kennedy Smith, the journey to success has always been fueled by a desire to be the best. However, after winning three straight regional titles in high school, her perspective shifted this year. Smith's focus on enjoying the competition has made her most recent season her most gratifying yet! Her athletic trainer Katie says, “she is a true student athlete with great grades and an incredibly positive attitude. Her determination and perseverance is what sets her apart from the rest.” Her hard work has earned her recognition as one of the top athletes in the area and this week’s UF Health Orthopaedics and Sports Medicine Athlete of the Week award.

Yesterday was my first couples session in quite some time. These past few months have been absolutely wild. It felt so incredible to go out and shoot but also to interact with other people! Thank you, Katie & James, for getting me out of the house for a fantastic afternoon walk.
