Well, where has the time gone?!

One year ago today, @katie_panning and I were in Las Vegas for When We Were Young Festival 2025.

What a ridiculous line-up. We the Kings, The Cab, Simple Plan, Mayday Parade, The Offspring, The Used, Avril Lavigne, PVRIS, Story of the Year, I Prevail, Motionless in White, Blink-182 and Panic! At The Disco… just to name a few… all in one day!

As if that wasn’t enough to make it a trip to remember, I somehow managed to convince Katie to say “YES!” 💍😂

Happy “Engageaversary”, @katie_panning ! ❤️

Here’s to the next adventure! 🖤

A wander down the Strip. Seeing our hotel @parisvegas from the outside is just as impressive as it is on the inside.

We stopped off at Hard Rock Cafe for a few drinks because it has to be done, and Katie picked up a couple of tshirts too (obviously!) 🍻😄

A wander through the Venetian. Honestly one of the most impressive hotels in Vegas. The canals, the bridges, the painted sky ceiling… it really does feel like stepping into a completely different place. Such an amazing level of detail.

We also grabbed some ice cream while we were there and it was easily some of the best we had on the whole trip 🍨😄

Just across the road from our hotel was the Bellagio which is absolutely stunning inside and out.

We were there to see O by @cirquedusoleil in their own theatre… honestly unreal. The whole thing is built around water, and it’s one of those shows where you spend half the time wondering how any of it is even possible!

A night on Fremont Street 🎰
The older side of Vegas. Neon everywhere, live music, and total sensory overload (in the best way).

We wandered down to find All Time Low playing a free gig - couldn’t have timed it better! 🤘🎶

A stop at Eureka! - great bar, full of locals (at least when we were there) and loads of craft beer on tap. Katie went for a smoky marshmallow bourbon, and I got to tick off a proper bucket-list beer moment…

One of my all-time favourites, Russian River’s Pliny the Elder - tried it on draught for the first time ever after 6 or 7 bottles over the last few years. Safe to say it lived up to the hype! 🍻🔥

On to the Mob Museum, set in the old Las Vegas courthouse where so many mobsters were tried over the years. A really interesting look into the city’s past - and some cool movie memorabilia in the gift shop too.

Down in the basement there’s a hidden speakeasy and on-site distillery for a proper taste of the Prohibition era 🥃🕵️‍♂️

Time for some proper food 🍕
@pizzarocklv - awesome pizza, great beer, and top-notch cocktails too.
Loved the vibe of this place! 🍻✨

After trying to recover from the travel day, we took it slow and had a proper look around our hotel, Paris. Ended up finding an incredible gothic-style, French-inspired cocktail lounge and restaurant tucked inside. Katie went for a “French Poodle” cocktail - very on theme 🐩🍸

Later on we headed over to the Rio to see @pennandtellerlive… such a good show! Definitely one of the highlights so far 🎭✨

Las Vegas - Day 1 🇺🇸

A long day of travel with an early start at Heathrow, but a nice glass of champagne on boarding! 🍾

Fast-forward 13 hours and we finally checked in at our hotel, @parisvegas.

Amazing place - and what a view from our room of the “Eiffel Tower”, @bellagio fountains and the Strip! ✨
