Now that I have officially gotten logged into this account, I can now post my first appearance!

Last weekend I got to go to my first prelim as miss natural states teen, and it truly was such an enjoyable and well ran pageant! Fun fact, my very first teen title was Spirt of Arkansas’s outstanding teen, it’s always such a full circle moment to get to go back and crown some new girls year after year!

Congratulations to all the winners especially my former teen sister queen, Lilly. I’m so excited we got to welcome more girls into the @missarorg community! :)

Hi everyone! My name is Kaitlyn Edwards, I’m 15 years old from Vilonia, Arkansas, and I’m so excited to officially introduce myself as your new Miss South Arkansas’s Teen 2026! 🩷

A little about me… I’m a full honors student with a 4.0 GPA, and I’ve been playing the piano since I was 9 years old. Music has always been a huge part of my life, and I’m a huge Elvis fan! 🎶 I also love collecting records and CDs, so you can almost always find me listening to music somehow!

Outside of school and music, I am very active and involved in shooting sports. I have been a part of the Central Arkansas Hawkeyes, a youth shooting sports team, since I was eight years old, and I’m so excited to come back this year as a coach! Although I decided to step down as a competitor this year, I’m incredibly excited to continue sharing my love for shooting sports and everything I’ve learned about firearm safety with the next generation of young shooters as they step onto the firing line for the first time.

Of course, I can’t forget my two best friends at home, Max and Ellie! Max is my little Chihuahua/Yorkie mix, and Ellie is my Great Pyrenees. 🤍

This will be my second year attending Miss Arkansas’s Teen, and I honestly can’t put into words how excited I am to be heading back to the Robinson Center and experiencing state all over again! I’m so grateful for this opportunity and for everyone who has supported me throughout this journey.

I can’t wait to spend this year meeting new people, serving my community, making memories, and representing South Arkansas to the very best of my ability. 🩷

Last weekend was genuinely one of the most wonderful experiences I’ve ever had. 🤍

Last Saturday, I had the incredible honor of being crowned Miss South Central Arkansas’ Teen, while also receiving Overall Talent and Overall Onstage Question. I am beyond grateful, incredibly excited, and so ready for the road ahead! 👑✨

To my family and friends — thank you for supporting me from the moment I decided to begin this journey. I have been so blessed to have such an amazing support system behind me, and I truly couldn’t do this without you. 🤍

To @totalpackageconsulting you and grace mckissic — I’m SO ready to begin preparing for Miss Arkansas’ Teen, and I couldn’t have been graced with better coaches. Thank you for calming my nerves, believing in me, and seeing potential in me even when I couldn’t always see it in myself. I’m so excited for everything we’re going to accomplish together! ✨

To the Miss South/South Central Board — I am so honored to represent this region and the incredible people who call it home. I’m ready to work hard, get involved, and represent this title to the very best of my ability. I can’t wait for all that’s ahead! 💙

To @chloe_hargisss — you are such an incredible woman, leader, and role model. I am beyond honored to have you as my Miss and truly couldn’t have asked for anyone better to look up to. 👑🤍

One last night as Miss South Arkansas’ Teen.
When reflecting on this year, I see a completely different person from where I started. I see a more confident, well spoken, passionate version of myself. I never thought that I could accomplish even an ounce of what I have throughout this year with this title but it’s all because of the incredible support system who stood behind me every step of the way. There are too many thank you’s to be handed out and I do not want to miss anyone, but to every single person who supported me, encouraged me, sent a text before competition, or prayed for me, you each hold a special place in my heart. This title taught me resilience, consistency, and the highest work ethic.
My South Arkansas fam, you are more than just my directors, each of you are family to me. Thank you for absolutely every ounce of love you have poured into me.
To Kaitlyn, girl I’m so proud of you. Take every moment and soak it all in. Do it tired, do it scared, do it with a servants heart. Lead by example, and always remember to choose progress over perfection.
Chloe, don’t forget about me. My Miss forever and ever🥹 you mean the actual world to me. Those tears were shed for a reason, because saying see you later was so hard. Continue working hard, being true to yourself, and shining that bright light to everyone around.
What you pour into this organization, it will give back in return plus some. How lucky am I that saying goodbye is so difficult.

As I look back at photos from Miss Arkansas’ teen 2026, the only thing taking up all my storage is the space of pictures with the most genuine, sweet, and fun girls. I’m reminded everyday of the crazy ways you just make friends at Miss Arkansas, tho I’ve always wondered why it’s never that easy in school. 🙈

I wanted to start my thank yous with these girls. We all spend a whole week together, wake up at 5-7 in the morning, and go through ups and downs, yet everyday we still found a way to make 8AM a party. I thank these girls not only for how I was treated these past 4 years, but for the memories I get to hold in my heart forever.

One of my favorite memories with the girls has always been our backstage moments. We laugh, we cheer, we pray, and we have fun, and that’s what pageantry is all about. Something that will forever be funny to me is you could say you need literally anything under the sun, and someone WILL have it, we all come prepared but somehow always forget something important, but trust another girl will have whatever that is you need! 😂

I love every single one of you and I’m so beyond thankful and blessed for every sweet moment we shared, these girls truly make Miss Arkansas teen what it is.

I absolutely loved today’s advocacy session. Thank you again to Representative‑elect Dawn Creekmore for taking the time to teach us about advocacy and the importance of using our voices to create meaningful change. I’m so grateful for the opportunity to learn, grow, and better understand how to serve my community with purpose and confidence.

Today was filled with the craziest emotions, but in the best ways possible

Today, We arrived at the Arkansas State Capitol and I got to see so many familiar faces and start the week we’ve all looked forward to for a year! I’m so thankful to be here and even tho this is my fourth arrival the feeling never gets old and I can’t wait for the rest of this week! 🥹
