God, I love women.

Being the keynote speaker at the Women Who Lead summit reminded me of all the women who helped pave the way for my career.

Not only showing me that it was possible to have a sustainable career on both sides of the camera, but who looked out for me, taught me to navigate the professional and personal, showed me how the system works and that if you wanted something done well, you knew who to ask ;)

This goes for both the women who have sent the elevator back down in their careers, and the men who do the same to raise up those around them.

It’s easy to keep your head down and move a project forward (often, the boulder moving up the big hill), but it’s important for me to take a look around every once in a while, realize how far we have already pushed it, and most importantly, the people pushing it beside you.

While there’s more to go, there’s plenty to celebrate, take in, and appreciate….

Because women making movies… it’s freaking bad ass.

Huge thanks to @vfx_society and the entire Women Who Lead crew for having me!!!! 🥹

Y’all thought I was done gushing about all these fun & beautiful people ?! My heart grew so much in the last couple weeks, what do you expect ?! <3

Special shoutout to @jessybabes86_ and the amazing person she continues to be. Bringing her on changed the tides of this project for the better. She was immediately welcomed and embraced. Such a strong woman that I get to call a friend. Having her as my onset made me able to take a breath and be present. The Virgo energy is strong with us !! <3 plus we all got love on her boy Arlo when he needed it most.
