@katiefolger shares a bit of her beginnings in the industry, and how chasing her purpose helped her find herself despite having people in her life saying otherwise.

Bi*ch. Something special about friends calling each other one out of love or just calling each other out. Something special about a man calling a woman one. Something very special about a tiny, balding man who needed a badge to cosplay authority calling a woman one after touching her. It’s all very special, so is my life. It’s a trip. Many trips wrapped into one anxiety ridden train off the tracks desperately seeking grease and maybe some new tracks. There aren’t enough tags or spaces on this billionaire’s app to shout out moments or people that make it what it is.

I don't think I've ever felt more joy, more happiness, more love than I did on my 75th birthday. Started the day with a pile of presents from my Sweet D, ate the breakfast of carb-loving champions at @clarkstreetbread, made my own bootleg @sweetladyjanecakeshop birthday cake, and then filled my garden with loved ones. Big surprises: cameos by my brother @drew.maran, my play-brother William, my long gone neighbor Erica; the things people whispered to me about their love for me and mine for them. The next morning I realized that none of it was about the work we do or the careers we struggle so hard to keep afloat. It was all about who we are and who we want to be and how we help each other grow into those people. As the Beatles sang it, "and in the end/the love you take/is equal to the love you make. Let's make more, shall we?

We need your help to save Hollywood.

@koko_bode_photo_ and I started making a film about her Dad Dick, when the truck he’s lived in for 30 years broke down in front of our house in Hollywood. Dick painted the sets and played as an extra in some of the biggest films in Hollywood, but along the way the American middle class has suffered a beat down, and Dick took a few punches. After we started filming he had a stroke navigating the summer heat and we need some help in adapting to becoming primary care providers and completing the film we set out to make, DICK BROKE DOWN.

Thank you so much to @katiefolger @agneslb @greer.sinclair and @loveisbailey an incredible cast who’s brought so much life to this film so far!

If you can help show your support through even a dollar, it can help us build an audience and get this work backed by the big players! Thank you!!
