Next Saturday Oct 3 is the opening of my solo exhibition 𝔄𝔭𝔭𝔞𝔯𝔞𝔱𝔲𝔰 𝔄𝔩𝔢𝔞𝔱𝔬𝔯𝔦𝔦 , a series of sound making apparatuses that amplify the voice of the elements. The instruments are energetic conduits for the forces that blows through them and presents an opportunity for a primitive and universal communication that transcends language. It has been a great humbling educational odyssey to study sound and instrument making the past few years, I am still only at the beginning of this ongoing journey and having fun exchanging notes with my peers on the theory and technicalities of sculpting new sonic landscapes and finding small joys from banging rocks together like a simple animal. Curated by resident angel @katikirsch at @whatmarykept. So grateful to Kati, Cody, and Kelly for opening up their space to bring you these singing beasts. We will serve custom tea blends specially curated by me for you at the opening. I will also have Squidges for sale for the duration of the show at the shop, AWESOME! Don’t laugh at my water drip set up, it works kind of Here are some progress videos because I heard you like that It’s hard to cut away stone when it’s already perfect the way it is Matchmaking clam shells is a meditative practice Seed pods I collected 2 years ago at Mariah’s birthday will make an appearance and they have something to tell you
