Thank you to Government Street Presbyterian Church for inviting Mobile Ballet's Katia Garza to speak as part of their Tuesday Lunch and Learn series this week! 💃🩰💛 Katia enjoyed talking about her career as a dancer, choreographer, teacher, and artistic director, and about all the things Mobile Ballet does, from classes to outreach to performances, and more. And she loved meeting and chatting with everyone! We may be a little biased 😁😍, but we love when new people get to meet Katia and see how awesome she is in person! Thanks again for the invite and thanks to everyone for attending.

🩰 Taking care of the instrument. A couple of weeks ago, our friends from USA Health Sports Medicine and Refine PT & Performance, under the leadership of Dr. Peter Rippey, returned to Mobile Ballet for another important screening of our Trainee and Junior Company dancers. The team evaluated strength, balance, and heart rate to help our dancers understand their bodies, identify areas they can improve, and start the season strong and healthy. At Mobile Ballet, we believe in dancing without pain and protecting the body—the most important instrument of a dancer. Dancers are athletes, and many of our dancers train and work more than 20 hours a week. Taking care of the body is not an extra—it’s part of the training. ❤️ Thank you, Dr. Rippey, and the entire USA Health Sports Medicine & Refine PT team, for investing in the health and future of our dancers! #MobileBallet #DanceMedicine #DancersAreAthletes #InjuryPrevention #DanceStrong HealthyDancers
