the summer I learned to f*cking relax

turns out, not every open door is mine to walk through.
not every thread needs pulling.
not every possibility needs to be a plan.
not every open time slot on my calendar needs to be filled.

my free time is sacred & it is mine.

there is a particular kind of freedom in letting a moment be enough without immediately asking what it means, where it’s going, or what you should do with it.

because you can think yourself in circles forever.
you can analyze the past, anticipate the future, map every possible route

or you can make a different choice.

practice patience.
self-love.
humility.
forgiveness.
non-attachment.
gratitude.

and stay.

long enough for the nervous system to unclench.
long enough for the story to change.
long enough to feel fate shift.

maybe destiny is what will happen
& maybe free will is how we meet it.

either way, the lantern only ever illuminates the next step.

and this summer, I stopped demanding to see the entire road.

then suddenly I stumbled into paradise 🤸‍♀️🫧🧘‍♀️🧚🏝️
