From the garden 🍅🏡. Trying to prolong the season before fall comes, cutting off any yellowing/dying leaves, and harvesting tomatoes as soon as they start turning color to help the plant put energy into the green tomatoes.

Purple beans
Sweet 100 cherry tomatoes

If 5 years ago you told me I’d be able to plant a garden, let alone keep a plant alive, I probably wouldn’t have believed you 😂

We were away for a week and it’s amazing how much everything has grown!

I normally check on the garden daily, so the growth isn’t normally as noticeable, but now everything’s filling in 😍.

Zinnias
Dahlias
Tomatoes
Cucumbers

Wait until the end.. I have fencing all around the garden and the back of the greenhouse that I opened & was surprised to find this! It was soooo cute though ❤️

Peas are coming in and I love that the kids love to eat them right off the plant. Since getting into gardening and having the kids join in, they’ve been more interested in trying out veggies, I’d say that’s a win! 🌱🫛

Strawberry season is almost here 🍓😍. The kids have been so excited to harvest these, they’ve been going out and checking them daily. I love being able to garden with them and see how excited they are ❤️.

These are ever bearing strawberries, which are supposed to produce several smaller crops throughout the summer until fall. There are also June bearing strawberries, which produce most of their crop in June.

Decided to winter sow some seeds this year! Planted some cool weather crops, my first time trying out some of these varieties. Can’t wait for them to come up.

Plant them in jugs with the lid off & let Mother Nature take care of them. No need to water unless it hasn’t rained in a while. Seedlings are supposed to grow stronger and accustomed to the weather.

Chinese Broccoli
Correnta Spinach
Baby Bok Choy
American Leeks

Started this avocado from seed 3 years ago, now here we are. Most of my gardening is experimenting and seeing what’ll happen lol. I wonder if we’ll get an avocado from this tree, supposedly it takes about 7 years, we’re almost halfway there!

So we did a thing, and added this arch trellis and I’m obsessed! It’s been like 2 weeks now and the tomatoes are climbing up it. I planted some watermelon and cantaloupe (hoping they survive the bunnies and groundhog), and pole beans. Can’t wait to see it full 😍
