There was so much leisure, yummy snacks, afternoon naps, breathtaking views, free associative singing, group musicking. this type of nontraditional productivity makes traditional productivity possible. we rest, laugh, and connect in ways that make it possible to create the art we want/need🩵 still coasting from this long weekend, she will live in infamy y’all

What an absolute dream come true getting to work as a Group Director at @acappellacademy earlier this month. Weeks later, I’m still feeling so inspired by the jaw-dropping talent and pure heart these campers brought with them, and it makes me so optimistic for the future of the music industry (and the world) to know these campers will be leading the charge ✨

To my group of superstars, Affinity, I truly could not have asked for a more talented, loving, and hilarious group of humans to be part of my first Academy group. Thank you all for your trust in me, and for bringing my arrangements to LIFE with your magical voices 🫶🏾🫶🏾 All while getting to work alongside the DREAM TEAM of the incomparable @_marisaesposito and @imasherhinton as my co-director & CIT 🙌🏾🙌🏾

To my fellow staff, thank you for welcoming me in to this family so immediately, and for inspiring me literally every single day with your brilliance, your individuality, and your true passion for this art form (AND for the late night jam sessions / sight reading parties 🤓)

And of course, none of this would be possible without the tireless work of the founders @thebenbram @rdietz55 @avi_kaplan who’ve created such a nurturing, magical, life-changing environment for these campers, and I can never thank you all enough for trusting me with the opportunity to be a part of it 🫶🏾

Enjoy some highlights beautifully captured by @chestermarc 📸🎶
