In the studio today. Glass Survey (AD 214) students are halfway through their first projects, working in both the hotshop and the coldshop. For many, it’s their first time gathering from the furnace or moving into the coldworking process. We are sharing a few studio moments from today. We also added the flyers we designed months ago to promote the class. It’s interesting to see those imagined visuals alongside the real studio energy. We’ll be offering the same Glass Survey again next fall semester. Jiyong Lee (@jiyong_lee), professor of the course & Nygell Halvorson (@katsudon55 ), Teaching Assistant

What started as a work trip ended as something unforgettable. It was nice to get away from the daily Oahu bustle for a bit, hang out with my buddy @katsudon55, help @j.swanz with his land, and of course, see Pele do her thing for 7 hours. 10/10 trip, would poop in a bucket for a week again. #pele #bigislandhawaii #glassblowing #volcano #hawaii #justhanginaround
