POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

So much went into this regatta and this team, it’s crazy that it is over. The inaugural @nyyc_regattas Women’s International Championship was the best regatta I have ever participated in.

I lead @aurorasailingteam as the project manager, trimmed the spinnaker and offside jib, and best of all got to sail with these awesome ladies whom I now get to call not only teammates but also friends. It was incredible to have over 200 amazing women on the race course. Our team was international, intentional, and so much fun to be a part of. Thank you to every member of Aurora for teaching me new things, providing a safe space, and just being the best teammates. This regatta and team will always hold a special place in my heart 💖✨💪

AURORA DUMP 💜

Emptying the camera roll from two incredible weeks in Newport for the NYYC Women’s Championship with the most amazing group of women, from 6 different countries! Brought together by a sport we all adore 😊

We are all very grateful to have met, have trained hard, worked hard and have had this experience together! One we will not forget and certainly not the last… this is just the beginning for team Aurora!

Big week in Newport, RI with @aurorasailingteam on @sailnewportri 's Rhody Red.

I'll still need some time to reflect on it all. Can't believe how lucky I am to get yo sail with this incredible bunch of women from all over the World.

Just to name a few examples: Our tactician @melisbaykan who I am sure will be one big name in inshore keelboat sailing soon.
Our spinnaker trimmer @juice_luvr who is the reason this team exists and I know we will be doing lots more exciting sailing projects together.
Our main trimmer @kattis_sv who probably had the hardest job last week learning all the quirks of the IC37 rig and mainsail setup and taking in load and loads of feedback! Despite everything she did so well and impressed everyone!

You can see a little introductory reel about each of them on our @aurorasailingteam account. Stay tuned to get to know the rest of my team!

We were also incredibly lucky to have @william__connelly with us pretty much all week showing us the ins and outs of the IC37, as well as @jeremypochman who lead us through our first regatta stepping in as tactician on the weekend while Melis was off to Switzerland with @sslteamturkey .

Big thanks to @skipper_lisa1 , @longbeachycsailing , and @themagentaproj and @advalue.tt for your support to this team, and to @sailnewportri & @timtcorbett for all your support and a great regatta last week!

Aurora Sailing Team Training Week - July 6 - 12 Newport, RI ⛵️✨🫶

Wow, what an amazing week! Thank you to all who made it possible!! Feeling so grateful to had the opportunity to train on the boats and at the venue for the @nyyc_regattas Women’s International Championship this September. There was so much learning this week, we experienced just about every weather condition; I learned more than just how to sail better, but also self care, logistics, and relationships. It was such a treat meeting most of my teammates in person for the first time as we come from 6 different countries 🌏

It takes a lot of work to get to the start line in September and we are in our final fundraising push 💪! If you are interested in donating links are in my bio to our go fund me or dm me if you want to give a tax deductible donation.

Our team is using this regatta to practice for the upcoming Women’s International Championship in September, and this weekend punctuates our last full week of training on the boat.

Looking forward to day 2!

Day 5 in the books and the heat was on! In all the ways - it was 90 degree Fahrenheit/32 degree Celsius and the IC37 fleet came out to do some practice starts in the lead up for the Sail Newport Regatta, which starts tomorrow!

Day four of practice in the books! We sailed so many hotdog courses around the bay, followed by some starts practice. The team enjoyed the afternoon off to walk Newport and have a team dinner!

Can’t wait for tomorrow where we’re going to get some opportunity to tune up with other IC37s!

Day three of IC37 practice brought us sunshine, heavy wind in the morning, and light wind in the afternoon. We made the most out of every condition!

Champagne sailing with @itakar10🥂 When four big Swedish classic yachts decide to sail to Finland to compete in the @hss_helsingforssegelsallskap 132 Years Champagne Regatta - Baltic Class Masters, there’s only one thing to say “Kippis - I’ll come!”

Thank you Johan, Jonas & the whole team for equal parts fun on and off the water - and the organisers for a fantastic event! 👏

🌊 Help me support @themagentaproj 🌊
Because women deserve a bigger place at the helm.

If you’ve followed my sailing journey over the past year, you know how deeply I care about the ocean, adventure, and storytelling. But I also care about something else: making the sailing world more accessible, inclusive, and representative – especially for women.

@themagentaproj celebrates 10 years of placing women at the top of the sailing industry, and I wouldn’t be where I am today without the Mentoring Programme. My mentor @freshapproachdigital has provided honest and strategic career coaching throughout the year, and the programme has helped me grow my network, cover world-class events like the @stmaartenheinekenregatta, @metstrade, and the Yacht Racing Forum – all steps towards my goal of leading marketing and creative work in the sailing industry.

The programme is free and relies on donations. Now it’s my turn to give back – and I need your help.

💜 Help me raise £1000 to support more women rising in our sport.
🗓️ Fundraiser open until July 31st.
🙏 Every donation makes a difference.
👆 Donate through the link in bio.

Thank you for supporting me and women in sailing!
