staycation week 2:

seaside park, 6 days in the sun (still on antibiotics, so I spent them covered in spf/hats/swim shirts), fun meals, yummy drinks, tons of laughs with my Donald, multiple coffee runs and shopping with my sist, tons of time with Connor boy, surgeon called and my surgery is scheduled for the fall(glad it’s soon but not an emergency), my debit card info was stolen lol but all in all it was an amazing week thanks to dad and dales wild generosity

Excited (and lucky) to go back to work

staycation week 1:

5 beach days, drinks and coffee with shel, concert with sean, roddy show with friends, a hot workout (why?), 100 class passes!(since october), celebrated baby rem, mammy day, a manicure, a date with my honey, walk/coffee with brielle, monthly kelsey date, the most disgusting secretion ever thanks to cancer(ill spare you), bbq at our house with dons parents and godfather.

sad(and lucky) to go back to work tomorrow

One year since my 35th and last radiation session. I got to ring the bell with my red, swollen, burned face, and my balding head that I was in denial about. I got to take my awful radiation mask that pinned me to the table for 30 minutes every day for 7 weeks home with me. And it was the first real smile I’d had in months.

That was the end of my “active treatment” but nothing about the last year has been passive. I’ve had 10 debridements in 2026, alone. I started my third round of antibiotics in 2026, today. And I’ve had two brain MRIs already this year.

But I go to the beach, and I see my family, and my friends, and I passed my NCS, and I’m alive.

It’s both. And I’m trying to learn how to be okay with it being both. And I still don’t have one ounce of regret for throwing my mask in the garbage as soon as I got home

You’re only the goat if the goats say you are…

Words cannot express the love and gratitude I have for every single friend and family member who made this entire month possible. To wake up everyday and feel like the luckiest guy on the face of the earth is something I don’t take for granted. @teamtonynj and @dquiznj lit the spark that became @lifebehindbarsbrand_ and the rest is history. Special shoutout to @johnnywanat for running our support bar at grotto beach and @dominiccontella for always making sure I had everything I needed. Another huge shoutout to @danielle_t545 and @d_golks for helping set up, film, transport stuff in their cars, and do WAY too much other stuff. The hoodies, the shirts, the hats, the straws it all only gets done because we help eachother to do what no other bar could. Lastly I’d be nothing without my loving fiance @katttmurphy the wife behind bars herself, and her entire family of supporters, especially @adamremeniski who makes all the designs you know and love. Here’s to many more long crazy nights and the people who make it possible.
