A @strictlyshine appreciation post… 🥹

… 9 years and the best 9 years of my life that’s for sure. @strictlyshine not only allowed me to find my passion for dancing, but created a family which I know everyone values so very much - I honestly don’t know what I would do without our dance family. Without dance my life wouldn’t be the same, the amount of love I have for this sport I will never be able to put into words and none of what I’ve achieved would’ve been possible without this amazing dance school and my amazing teacher!! Dancing @strictlyshine truly managed to always bring back my smile.

Angela, you helped me learn, improve, and believed in me even when I didn’t believe in myself and i will never be able to thank you enough for what you have done for us all at @strictlyshine over the years, you watched us achieve our dreams whilst bringing out the very best in every single dancer, we will all do our best to carry on making you proud 🥰

This is a bittersweet feeling… as one chapter of my dance journey closes, I am also excited to start a new chapter at a new dance school. Whilst I begin this new adventure, every memory made with Strictly Shine will always be held close to my heart, but here’s to hopefully making many more memories on and off the dance floor🫶🩷

@strictlyshine … THANK YOU!

Our other year 13 leaver is Katy, who has been with us since she was 5 and has completed all her RAD ballet grades from Primary to Grade 8 as well as Intermediate Foundation and Intermediate vocational exams!

Hi Katy! How long have you been at ADS?

“I’ve been at ADS since I was 5 in September 2009 - so almost 14 years!!!”

What are you planning to do now?

“I am hoping to go to either Nottingham or Sheffield to study Psychology from September ”

What is your fondest memory of your time at ADS?

“The entire thing! ADS & Miss Emma have been such a big constant for the majority of my life and I’m not sure what I’m going to do without it! My most favourite memories though, would have to be the shows that everybody loves preparing for & the amazing friendships I’ve made - I’ll miss everyone so much”

We will all miss you SO much Katy! So many of our younger dancers aspire to be like you! Thank you for being such a great student and role model! 💕😭😭😭

💕Sunday Funday!

💃Beyond amazing to see this gang back on the dance floor today

🤪 Didn’t realise how much we’ve missed early Sundays and gluey hair

😷Was a real shame we couldn’t all be there but the team stepped up brilliantly to make the best of it

🤞Fingers crossed we’re back again soon

💕Find Sunday’s boring? Make your Sunday a Funday and get shining too…link in bio
