True story: When you write every day in your journal for months “I will shoot a wedding in Colorado. I will shoot a wedding in Colorado. I will shoot a wedding in Colorado.” And then it actually happens. Thank you to Julia & Madison for throwing the best party ever in the mountains and most importantly for inviting me to document it. I’m a lucky lucky girl. Dang… time to start journaling again!! For Emily and Mike, Steamboat held a special place in their story—making it the perfect setting to bring their favorite people together from near and far to celebrate the beginning of something new. Sweeping mountain vistas, an unforgettable Colorado evening, and a stunning ballroom filled with so much joy. A destination wedding in a place that already meant so much to them. The kind of weekend you wish you could bottle up and relive forever. One year ago, we celebrated Emily + Michael, and somehow, their wedding feels like it was just yesterday. 🤍 There are some couples who leave a lasting impression, and then there are couples who remind you why we love what we do! Emily + Michael are undoubtedly the latter. One of the most beautiful things about their wedding weekend was hearing the people who love them most speak about who they are. Their toasts gave us an even deeper glimpse into two people we already adored, and confirmed everything we had come to know throughout our time together: they are kind, gracious, generous, joyful, and the kind of people who make everyone around them feel loved. Their three-day celebration at Catamount Ranch was filled with so much laughter, connection, and genuine joy. It was pure magic from beginning to end, and we feel incredibly lucky to have been part of it. Happy first anniversary, Emily + Michael! We love you both and are so grateful for the memories, the friendship, and the opportunity to celebrate you. Here’s to many, many more years of love and happiness. 🥂🤍 As seen in @stylemepretty Planner + Designer | @callunaevents Reception Venue | @catamountranchclub Photographer + Videographer | @ianvsantiago Florist | @unboundfloraldesign Catering + Beverage | @catamountranchclub Entertainment | @rockslideband_official @elanartists Lighting + Draping | @vivid_audiovisual Rattan Pendants | @littlemadevents Specialty Rentals | @dizzyandjayneco Invitations + Day of Stationery | @theletteryco Linens | @bbjlatavola + @nuagedesigninc Bridal HMU | @grhairandmakeup Bridesmaids HMU | @vulgarbeautysteamboat Tenting + Rentals | @copartyrentals Wedding Cake | @katypiersoncake Friday Night Location | @e3chophousesteamboat Friday Night Entertainment | @chamberlinbirch Transportation | @skitowntransportation + @steamboatelevated Wedding Gown | @amsaleweddings Groom’s Suit | @brunellocucinelli_brand Friday Dress | @lein_studio Friday Coat | @sidmashburn Bride | @emgilfillan Groom | @michaelgilfillan
