Coming soon…

My latest documentary short ‘The Things We Carry’ (2026) (Hottokondidu Nenapagalu) produced in collaboration with @psbtindia and @arthshila is finally about to release after almost 10 rejections, months of waiting and years of hard work. It is an auto ethnographic work on absence and remembering and forgetting of, especially, women.

“Amma would have been proud”, I tell myself each day since the completion of the film, but I can barely get myself to say out loud “I am proud of myself.” Proud of taking this journey, proud of starting this project 3 years ago alone, proud of pitching and finding support, proud of building a superb team, proud of finding Amma in memories, proud of getting my family to support, proud of finishing the film while working part time and struggling with severe illnesses, proud of putting the film out there and proud to receive heartwarming responses from viewers.

I am proud of myself REGARDLESS. (And for this, my therapist would be proud of me.)

Deeply deeply grateful to the ENTIRE team of wonderful artists who worked with me in person and remotely, producers, mentors, cast of the film, my parents and Amma who was with me throughout this journey—and, I like to believe, still is. Thanks to PSBT’s DocCommune program and team for trusting me and my process.
