🎬Hi is a 2026 Tamil romantic comedy-drama marking the directorial debut of Vishnu Edavan, a former assistant director to Lokesh Kanagaraj, produced by Nayanthara and Vignesh Shivan's Rowdy Pictures along with Seven Screen Studio and Zee Studios. The film pairs Kavin as Mayilsamy, an earnest but unlucky-in-love young man, with Nayanthara as
Devayani, an unconventional woman he pursues despite repeated setbacks, with music by Jen Martin. Set against a modern family backdrop, the story follows their unusual, one-sided romance as circumstances push the two tenants toward
marriage, exploring whether Mayilsamy's
persistence finally leads to real love. The film also features K. Bhagyaraj, Prabhu, Radhika Sarathkumar and VTV Ganesh in key roles, and released in
theatres on 28 August 2026 as a feel-good
entertainer blending romance, comedy and family emotion.
