The Ghost Bride 👻👰🏻‍♀️✨💐 Happy Halloween!! 🎃 I started working on this costume in late July when I got the idea for it, then fully developed the concept, and started gathering what I needed. The dress is made from a vintage lace tablecloth and the veil is made from a vintage lace curtain (and a head band). It took until a week ago for me to finally see the vision for the veil— so in between editing and shoots I was figuring that thing out 🤣 costume hand sewn by myself (drew blood only once), ghost bride makeup by @kayceyoungmakeup and photos by @arliethuffman

Happy Birthday, Momma ✨❤️✨ you are so loved! As I always say in your birthday cards— I’m so happy you were born not only because I exist but simply because *you* exist! Also, you’re the only person who can make me (more voluntarily than by force 😂) wear a color other than all black 😘🎉❤️ the 23rd anniversary of you turning 40 has never looked so beautiful!

Happy Halloween 🎃 👻✨ makeup by my incredibly talented momma @kayceyoungmakeup 😊 this Halloween is different from any other Halloween I’ve had because of the storm. It’s my favorite time of year. But I’m glad I get to spend so much time with my parents and have my mom do my makeup for the first time since I was a kid 🖤 today was still so so so special ✨

This past weekend we shot a summer wedding at the post-Victorian historic Homewood in Asheville, North Carolina. This stone, castle-like manor used to be a private residence and has been transformed into a wedding and event venue. The unique architecture and lush gardens made for some AMAZING portraits!

Congratulations, Michelle & Vincent! I know it took some time to decide where to have your long-anticipated wedding. Homewood was such a great reflection of your love and desire to experience something uniquely wonderful with your loved ones. Thank you for trusting us to capture one of the most important days of your lives! We hope you enjoy this preview of you wedding day. It makes us giddy for the adventures you'll have in this new chapter of your story! We can't wait to hear all about it! 🙂 Big hugs & lots of love!

I’ve worked with local makeup artist @kayceyoung of About the Face several times and she always does stellar work. I was honored when she asked me to take photos of her and her husband for their anniversary. They both were so on fire! 🔥

Highlands, NC is a magical place to get married. In the woods surrounded by charming cabins from the 1800's, rolling hills, a lake and an old farmhouse in Highlands, NC is a fairy tale. ⠀
