#WhyWednesday

This is why we do what we do!

It’s about helping young athletes grow into confident, disciplined, resilient people.

Over the last 5 years, Alanah showed what true commitment looks like. Driving 40 minutes one way, week after week, year after year, never looking for shortcuts and never backing down from the work. Her dedication to becoming better not only as an athlete, but as a person, has been incredible to watch.

Reading messages like these reminds us that ETS is bigger than the gym. It’s about relationships, trust, growth, and creating an environment where athletes believe in themselves long before they realize what they’re capable of.

We are beyond proud of Alanah and everything she has accomplished through volleyball, basketball, softball, and life. The leadership, confidence, work ethic, and mentality she’s built over the years will carry her far beyond sports.

Thank you, Alanah, for trusting us with your journey and for bringing energy, positivity, and relentless effort every single day. Athletes like you are the reason ETS is a Family!!

Best of luck the rest of this season and with everything you choose to pursue in your future!🙌

Senior Spotlight ✨ Alanah Kaye

Alanah has been with 1W since her 14s year & has been a force on any she’s been apart of. As a multi-sport athlete from Southern Door it hasn’t always been easy to manage crazy schedules but she was able to do what she needed to be successful in volleyball and her school sports. Thank you Alanah for being a part of our 1W family ❤️🖤❤️

Old friends in new places. Loved having the opportunity to see some of my Green Bay athletes in action again

Bittersweet moment as I watched Alanah and Laura, who are absolute weapons on the court, play their last tournament of the club season…

And Alanah’s last of her 🏐 career 🥲.

Heck of a day for both our ladies, and a great way to finish out their club seasons as they both get ready for BIG Spring Sport seasons ahead 🥎🏃🏼‍♀️

Congrats to Junior Kyleigh Claflin for making Second Team All-Conference and Senior Alanah Kaye for earning All-Conference Honorable Mention! Both girls were top scorers for the Eagles this season. Great job!

Take care of today and the rest takes care of itself.

Control of what you can control. It is easy to get caught up in worrying about the future but when you narrow your attention to what must be done today, the goal your chasing becomes manageable.

In-Season Training🪫🔌🔋

A commonly talked about topic, as it’s a crucial time in long-term athletic development.

From a physical standpoint, training during the season is not just important, but NECESSARY. It is actually the MOST important training block of an athletes career!

It’s important to understand what happened DURING the season, will dictate what’s going to happen in the off-season, as well. If an athlete hasn’t trained during the competitive season, we realize that there were probably significant regressions made and we will spend time trying to make up for what was lost. Therefore, that lowers the ceiling for what an athlete can accomplish during that off-season block of training.

➖Your in-season training affects the next off-season’s capability.

➖Your off-season training block affects the in-season training capability.

Our athletes need to be HEALTHY, HAPPY, and FRESH during the season..That’s our exact goal to make sure we are prescribing the proper load to all of our athletes during the season to make sure we are progressing through the season, peaking towards playoff/post-season, keeping injury risk at a MINIMUM, and enhancing performance. This happens with CONSISTENT 1-3x per week doses of training during the season.

WHY would you want to be your STRONGEST, FASTEST, and MOST POWERFUL at the beginning of the season and not the end?

The gym should NEVER take away from performance in competition - and that’s why we develop our training systems to make sure we are progressing no matter the time of year.

Final point, and something that really hits the nail on the head for what we strive to provide at ETS specifically... Life doesn’t get ANY easier for our athletes as they get older and progress through high school, college, etc. The CHOICE to COMMIT to 1-3x sessions per week goes a long way in developing discipline, time management, and responsibility are only going to help them in the long run.

Our goal will ALWAYS be to provide a positive and encouraging environment where our kids WANT to be, and when they’re here, they’re doing what is necessary to develop what will help them now and what will stay with them beyond sports!

#WhyWednesday

If your athlete’s goals are to:

⬆️Speed, Strength, Power & Athleticism
✅Maximize your athlete’s athletic career
✅Develop confidence, discipline & life skills
⬇️Injury Risk & Incidence

Here’s the fastest way to NOT achieving those:
👎Sign up for every summer camp possible
👎Never take a break from a sport
👎3-4 sports at one time
👎Attend endless “showcases”
👎Avoid physical training because you overcommitted on things that don’t move the needle

Endless showcases, camps, and the obsession with participating in 3-4 sports at one time without a break is sending athletes down a road of mental health issues, physical underdevelopment, burnout, and serious injuries with long term consequences.

Run decisions through your value filter and start doing what actually matters.
