POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

Well, the time has come. For as long as I can remember, baseball has been a part of who I am. After 8 professional seasons and a lifetime spent chasing this dream, I’ve decided it’s time to step away from the game. It’s hard to put into words what baseball has meant to me and how grateful I am for everything it has given me. But, I’m really excited for what’s next. What a ride it’s been.

To the @nationals, thank you for taking a chance on the kid from BYU that was “too old” for the draft. To the @mets, thank you for giving me an opportunity no others were willing to do. To the @cubs, thank you for giving me a chance to finish out my career in the midst of my most challenging season.

There’s too many people to recognize and thank, but I’m confident you know who you are. Thank you to everyone who supported me and sacrificed in helping me chase my dream. What a ride it’s been.

Kay - I wouldn’t have been able to chase my dream these last 8 seasons without this one by my side. Kayla has been the most selfless, encouraging, and supportive person I could have ever asked to have in my corner. From the time we started dating, professional baseball has been a part of our lives. For the last 8 years, she’s been used to saying goodbye in February and waiting until October, sometimes even later, to have me home again. She’s made countless sacrifices, put so much of her own life on hold, and supported me through every high and low that came with this game. Not once did she make me feel like my dream was a burden to her. I’ll forever be grateful for the love and support she’s given me and the sacrifices she’s made along the way. As much as I’ll miss baseball, I can’t wait for this next chapter of our lives and a whole lot more time together.

Dad - Baseball has been a part of my life for as long as I can remember, and it all started with my dad. Even though our batting cage sessions in the backyard rarely ended without tears, they are some of my greatest memories. Everything I’ve accomplished in this game is a reflection of him. He taught me how to play, shaped the player I became, and instilled in me a love for the game that has lasted my entire life.

Over the years,

A used Dodge Charger on KSL introduced Kyleigh to BYU soccer before she even knew a lot about the program.

Her dad found the car for her older brother's 16th birthday and drove out to pick it up. Casual, ordinary errand. Then, almost as an afterthought, he asked if she knew who used to own it. She didn't. His answer: Elise Flake — the star player at BYU at the time.

Kyleigh's response was basically "BYU soccer?" That single random detail sent her family down a rabbit hole of watching Flake's entire season together. A year or two later, Makayla Colahan's (now Cluff) senior class took the program on an incredible run right as Kyleigh was entering her own recruiting window. Watching that team, knowing recruiting was suddenly within reach, was the exact moment BYU stopped being a program she admired from a distance and became the dream she was actually chasing.

A used car changed the entire trajectory of her career. You genuinely never know which errand is the one that matters. 🚗⚽

⚽️ CHASING DREAMS — THE JOURNEY STARTS HERE.

THIS IS FDSKILLSFIT
Build the Athlete. Develop the Player. 💪🏽🙏🏼❤️⚽️
Youth • ECNL • College • PRO

This is the first post of a new FDSKILLSFIT series.

And this series isn’t about me.

It’s about the athletes.

Different ages.
Different teams.
Different levels.
Different dreams.

But behind every athlete you see here are years of training, sacrifice, setbacks, discipline, consistency and belief.

From YOUTH → ECNL → COLLEGE → PRO, there are no shortcuts.

At FDSKILLSFIT, our job is to help athletes prepare for that journey.

⚡️ Get faster.
💪 Get stronger.
💥 Become more powerful.
🔄 Accelerate, decelerate and change direction better.
🛡️ Build a more resilient athlete.
🧠 Develop confidence through preparation.

But there’s something even bigger than performance.

We want our younger athletes to see what’s possible.

The professional player was once the young player with a dream.

The college player was once wondering whether she could reach the next level.

The ECNL player is still writing her story.

And the young athlete is just getting started.

That’s what this series will be about.

We’ll introduce you to our athletes, share their journeys, show you the work behind the scenes and celebrate where that work takes them.

Because getting to the next level isn’t the end of the journey.

It’s the beginning of another one.

Different journey. Same dream.
Keep working. Keep believing. Keep chasing.

Don’t settle for a gym that was built without you in mind. 🤝

ALYZE Co-Founder Tyler Leith has been in the industry since 2008, and he’s watched gyms make the same mistakes over and over. From poor gear placement to lack of upkeep, the "standard" gym experience often misses the mark.

ALYZE is here to change that. ⚡️

We are working to ENSURE that every one of these points is NAILED where others are lacking:

🚶‍♂️💥 Intentional Flow — No more bumping into each other mid-set.
🏋️‍♀️ Purposeful Layout — Equipment grouped for how you actually train.
✨ Unmatched Hygiene — A space that stays as clean as day one.
🔊💡 High-Energy Vibe — Lighting and audio designed to keep you moving and motivated.

Follow ALYZE and come along for the journey.

Two unforgettable years in Utah. For all its quirks, this is a place Alec and I truly grew to love. We’re onto a new chapter, but the unreal natural beauty and lifelong friendships will keep us coming back. ❤️ #utahroyals #utah
