These Spring Subway Sundae prompts are madness (in the very best of ways). @kaylaandthemoon and @softservepsycho have really outdone themselves.

what the devil told me

“you shouldn’t spend the night”
the devil whispered those words
in my ears in a sultry voice,
a shiver went down my spine,
by the time I knew it — something in me was
planted before I had a name for it,
the skies darkened like burnt caramel sugar
the winds were rowdy and I knew it before I felt him
bands of black painted the yard obsidian,
he arrived like cigar smoke—warm,
stubborn and impossible to clear
“i warned you, but you ignored it.
You’ve been a bad girl, you deserve a punishment”
a thrill of excitement rushes downtown—my body
dances in adrenaline, I’m high just by his words
his voice, husky and growly, my mind’s ammeter
breaks — I can’t wait to be loved,
his hands moves through me like southern charm—bright
as night sky, effortless and impossible not to love;
“crazy little girl, you don’t know what you’re asking for”
he kisses me soft and sensual with his colourless corrupted lips,
my heart gallops in shards of ruined pulses,
my skin itches to be singed
“silly silly girl, you’re too perfect to be mine”
his eyes scream hunger,
laced with pretty prismatic perfect desires;
his teeth grazes my neck,
nipping my porcelain skin softly
I feel my nectar rising, threatening to ooze
“I can taste your desire—it’s something burning, something sweet;
you’re craving this deliciousness just like me”
he whiskey whispers them again,
I can feel his smug grin as he spills the truths,
those bow shaped lips, fluent in bruising,
trail down my skin until his lungs
catches my sweetness,
one after another, he flicks his tongue
and I come undone
I can feel the sweet summer vibes,
like a stranger’s sleeve — he’s warm
airborne, yet still breathing,
we’re two clouds raining on hot concrete;
our romance exhausting yet
something sinisterly blooming.
