The Beautiful unifies feeling, thought and dream... This acquaintance coaxes the soul to the land of wonder where the journey becomes a bright path between source and horizon, awakening and surrender.

life seems to be mostly California, a little michigan the last few months and I wouldn’t have it any other way.

not pictured was lots of holding babies and reading children’s books. if my next post / update isn’t my own book you all have permission to come for me 🤪 (it’s still happening, promise)

This past year was marked with resilience, beauty, remembrance, marker moments, & the gift of rich community where deep calls to deep.

It was filled with Godwinks & answered prayer.
Opened doors, & closed doors.
Favor & blessing.
Highs & lows.
Friendship that holds space.
But mostly,
this year was a reminder that God is always on The Throne.
His ways are higher.
Whatever He hung on the cross for- every single human emotion- I want to feel it all. I don’t want to squirm or run from it, I want to experience it fully & allow it to move through me.

The GOD DREAMS were stirred up—
The blueprints were released,
& I again found myself forever marked by a trip into Europe, where the beauty of Heaven healed me & reminded me of the assignments I have been given.
The gift of family & the slow healthy rhythms of life— the precious oil moments that are too sacred to share—
All leading up to the bridging of seasons 🎨

I’m not surprised that Purim falls on my birthday this year— where we celebrate the courage of Queen Esther that saved her people. For such a time as this.

Likewise, I am also not surprised that this year of my life is already marked by signs and wonders— at 3:33am on 3.3, a blood orange moon shown brightly on the California coast. God is always speaking. Are we listening? Are we paying attention?

I can already sense the sacredness of this year & everything I have held so close to my heart ❤️
Excited, expectant, & surrendered to everything God has for me in this next year of life.
HERE. WE. GO.

EVERYONE’S FAVORITE SERIES IS BACK: ‘what the homies wore to oceans church today’ 🤪🤭

I had a whole paragraph typed out but we did a big ‘select all, delete’ 🤣. yall already know how the internet trolls be, especially the Christians who take so much joy in criticizing other Christians. but who cares!

we’re simply here for the peeps who love seeing how their brothers and sisters in Christ show up in their Sunday’s best to meet with their Father. i know my lane 🤍

Where else have you seen God in your life lately?
I used to think God was just in churches & my prayers, but over the years, the closer I’ve gotten to Him, the more Ive realized He is in every single thing in my life.

We can worship Him in every thing we do, we can share Him with everyone we are around, we can run to Him during every distress, and we can enjoy Him in everything He has created for us.

Essentially, this is His world, we’re just living in it 😉

Notes from California: 🌊 Surfing can feel gnarly in an intimidating way, especially when you’re new and very aware of your inner kook. I used to think you needed surf camps, coaches, and a big budget just to belong out there.

Turns out I just got really lucky. I have a few surfer friends who are genuinely excited to bring people along, lend boards, share wetsuits, explain lineups, and laugh with you when you wipe out (again).

Some of those friends are building something big with @despuessurf, a surf club that feels like a run club for the ocean. No ego, no gatekeeping, just community, consistency, and showing up together. Add @despuescoffee after the session (best coffee in OC, period) and suddenly early mornings feel very worth it. Their next surf session is on the 01/10 at Salt Creek by the way!!

Beginner-friendly spots I’ve loved so far:
📍 Zuma Beach (extra grateful for @michael_gunnar paddling out with me here a few times)
📍 Newport Beach
📍 Malibu with the endless perfect small waves

Real talk though: surfing is one of the harder sports I’ve tried. Be prepared to drink a lot of salt water, miss waves, catch whitewater, and feel like a kook more often than not.

But with the right people, even the gnarly days are fun and that’s how you keep coming back, duuudeee 🤍🌊
