my senior contemporary class this past weekend left me with several reminders why I love what I do and why our job as dance educators is so important. everyone coming into the space with such vulnerability and hunger was so special to witness. thank you seniors… xoxo.

Appreciation post!!

I just wanted to say thank you so much for being such an amazing friend and I’m so grateful I got to meet you in person. You are actually the sweetest human being I have ever met and I cannot wait to reunite with you again soon. I miss you so so so much and you are just such a joy to be around and there should be more people like you. I am so grateful you came into my life and you have changed my life forever and I cannot wait to see what the rest of this year has in store for you!!! Continue being awesome and don’t ever change because you’re extra extraordinary and you are just so inspiring to me! I am following in your footsteps!

Your hips do A LOT of the heavy lifting in dance. 👏🏼🩰

Stretching your hip flexors isn’t just about becoming more flexible—it helps dancers achieve better extension, higher kicks, deeper lunges, improved posture, and more freedom of movement.

Tight hip flexors can limit your range of motion and even cause your lower back to compensate. Keeping them mobile helps dancers move with more control, power, and proper alignment. 💪🏼✨

Strong dancers don’t just train harder—they take care of the muscles that make the movement possible.

Save this stretch for your next warm-up or cool-down! 💚💛
