FINE, I’LL MARRY HIM MYSELF

Okay, this one was CUTE. Not really a rom-com. Definitely not a straight drama. More like a sweet little contract-marriage dramedy that somehow took one of the most overworked tropes in verticals and made me look at it differently. Because this isn’t forced proximity. This is forced denial.

Emma has seven days to find Theo a wife so he can launch his political career. They go through HUNDREDS of women. Nobody is right. This is where it’s sweet. Fun. And eventually Theo basically asks: Why can’t I find someone like you? THEO. Buddy. Ahhhh…

Because these two are clearly attracted to each other BEFORE they ever get married (which IRL…yes…duh). Which makes her eventual solution…”FINE, I’LL MARRY YOU” both adorable and possibly the dumbest thing two people who are already catching feelings could do. Counterintuitive? Yep. An amazing plot device? Oh hell, yeah.

But don’t worry! They have rules! Cause those always work in vertical land. 😉 It’s just a contract. They can still see other people. Nobody is going to get jealous. Nobody is going to catch feelings. Sure, Jan.

Emma starts cockblocking Theo’s attempts at one-night stands. Theo’s best friend John kisses Emma and Theo handles that with all the maturity and emotional regulation of a toddler who just watched another kid touch his favorite toy. Sir. YOU MADE THE RULES.

And then Theo tries to exercise his own romantic freedom and discovers he can’t exactly…rise to the occasion…with anyone but Emma. I’m sorry. Even his pernis (New Girl anyone?) has opted out of the contract. At some point, you two might want to read the room.

And THAT was what made this so much fun for me. The contract marriage doesn’t make Emma and Theo fall in love. They’re already halfway there. The contract just gives them a spectacularly terrible way to DENY IT.

Are there frustrations? Yep. Theo gets petty and controlling enough that I had a few does-this-man-actually-deserve-her? moments. There’s some unfinished business I would have liked wrapped up a little better. But dang it, Theo. You got me there.

Aslan and Nicolas are really sweet together, and I loved seeing Alicia & Carin pop up to give our couple p

‘FINE. I’LL MARRY HIM MYSELF’ IS OUT TODAY and you can stream it exclusively on the @my_drama_series app!! 💗💍

In the wise words of Dr. Taylor Allison Swift, “it’s been a long time coming” with this one. Shot in August 2025, it’s been over a year since I worked on this vertical, but I think that the wait was worth it. And I’m so very excited that you can all finally watch it!

Playing Emma was such a joy, and getting to play her with a British accent was an even bigger joy 🤭 I really do love Emma, and I’m sooooo very curious to see who you’ll love her with! Will you be Team Theo? Or Team John? Only time will tell 😌

@nicksellar thanks for flying out to Vancouver to be in a contract marriage with me! 💍

@jessoneoftheguys, thanks for being part of the Theo-Emma-John love triangle and for singing your way onto set in the mornings.

@delphinmetsers and @kayleymorch thank you for being such wonderful friends to me, on set and still. I loved working with you both so very much! 💗

And it’s been a year, but once again, thank you to @yuliia_vyshnevska, @kingdavidnsenga, the team behind @visionaryverticalproductions and @monikadalmancasting for casting me as Emma. It was a true pleasure working with you all! 🥰

And I knowww I’ll be missing some people, but a HUGE round of applause is due for such a WONDERFUL director and crew!! 💞👏🏻

Lost & Found

After losing her newborn daughter, Olivia (@RebeccaStoughton) spends ten years searching for the child taken from her. Her life unexpectedly changes when she saves a young girl named Mia (@Destiny_Wish15).

Mia becomes the link between Olivia and her father Leo (@Jarred_Harper), a wealthy CEO hiding his identity as a maintenance worker. As their lives intertwine, old wounds, secrets, and the possibility of love begin to surface.

✨ My Thoughts
Lost & Found builds on familiar romance tropes, with hidden identities, second chances, and a child unknowingly bringing two people together.

Rebecca brings warmth and vulnerability to Olivia, making the grief she has carried for a decade feel genuine. There’s a quiet sadness beneath her character even as new hope begins entering her life.

Jarred gives Leo a protective, slightly guarded presence, and his chemistry with Olivia feels natural and sincere. Their relationship develops alongside the larger mystery rather than overpowering it.

One of the highlights is Leo’s relationship with Mia. Destiny Wish brings genuine heart to the story, and their father and daughter moments are among the sweetest and most touching in the series.

The storytelling does feel uneven at times. Some of the darker conflicts, particularly the bullying, become heavier than necessary for the overall tone. The pacing and editing can also interrupt the flow, leaving parts of the narrative feeling slightly disjointed.

Despite that, there are plenty of heartfelt moments and a charming central dynamic. And with the story ending on a clear cliffhanger, there are still plenty of unanswered questions and more of this journey left to tell.
