A little love letter to this summer 💌

I don’t think I’ve ever experienced a season that made me so painfully aware of just how precious life is after pretty closely together losing my last two grandparents then almost losing my dad.

This spring, while my parents were visiting me in Charlotte, my dad had a heart attack that nearly took his life. Thanks to some truly incredible doctors & surgeons, he was rushed into emergency surgery that saved him. I will never be able to put into words how grateful I am that he had access to that kind of care. I know not everyone gets to be as lucky as we were.

After another heart surgery, some of the longest hours I’ve ever spent in a waiting room, my dad says he feels better than he has in years ❤️ My dad told us he wanted to see the giant sequoias and redwoods again. Those forests have always been such a magical, meaningful place to him.

So we went ❤️ & Im so thankful to have that experience with him & God willing, many many more.

This summer brought a lot of unexpected changes, some really hard goodbyes & moments when life looked nothing like I thought it would. But it also brought so much love 💗

Michigan summer, the best Carolina crew, lots of Winnie snuggles, tons of laughs with the fam, standing by some of my favorite people’s sides while they married the lives of their lives, a business that continues to grow beyond what I once imagined, & so many reminders of how lucky I am to have the most incredible humans in my corner 🩷

A special little love letter to @katimac who opened her home to me when I needed it most, became my roommate, & helped me find my footing & myself again in more ways than she probably realizes 🤍

If this year has taught me anything, it’s to take the trip, hug your people, celebrate the little things, and never assume you have all the time in the world.

I genuinely can’t believe I’m saying this, but today was my last day at RNDC. 🥺

3.5 years ago, I packed up my life and moved to Charlotte for this job, knowing basically no one and having no idea how much that decision would change my life. RNDC gave me so much more than a career—it gave me a city I now call home, some of my favorite people, my fiancé, my bestie girl, more memories than I could ever fit into 20 pictures, and an unreasonable amount of Jell-O shots. 😂 I’m truly so grateful for this chapter and every single person who made it what it was.

With that being said, I’m very excited to announce that I’ve accepted a position as a NC Account Manager with Bacardi! 🦇🥃 I’m incredibly grateful for this opportunity to grow & learn on the supplier side, so proud of myself for doing the scary thing, and cannot wait to see what’s next.

RNDC, thank you for everything. 💕 Luckily, you’re not getting rid of me that easily—I’ll see y’all in the market, where I fully intend to continue forcing Jell-O syringes down everyone's throats.
