Lots of changes in our household this month! This young man held his end of bargain and saved some money and got a car this weekend. Please pray for my sanity and for his safety. Love you Kayson, so excited for this new chapter for you ❤️🙏

Summers don’t get any better than hanging out with my sister and niece and the family. My heart is full. I wish so much we lived closer Court but cherish every single trip. I miss you two already 🥹💕 Xanadu…. Courtney and I probably watched that movie once a week when we were little😂🛼

16!! How did we get here so fast! Kayson, you bring sunshine into any room you walk in. These last 16 years have flown by so incredibly fast. These moments are so bittersweet. I miss you looking up to me and begging me to pick you up, yet I love seeing where your journey is taking you in life. You are smart, funny, witty, handsome and caring. Don’t ever let anyone take your sunshine away my love. Happy 16th birthday to you today. I love you❤️

October 3 Kayson tore his MPFL, meniscus, and MCL. December 3 he had surgery, marking his second knee surgery from a football injury. Today, we just found out he has clearance to get on the golf course and practice putting and chipping and can ease his way into golf over the course of the next two months. Additionally, his homework is to lift as heavy as he can to build up the strength in both of his knees again. I can’t fathom what this 15-year-old kid of mine has gone through in a short amount of time and the pain he has had to endure with draining the knee, knee blocks, surgeries, and tons of physical therapy, but he keeps pushing through. I’m so proud of you, Kayson, there is a light at the end of this tunnel! Nothing can stop you and this mom is so proud! ❤️❤️

We were able to get some answers today on the damage done to Kaysons knee from last Friday nights game. He tore his mcl, meniscus and mpfl and has surgery December 3rd. We are going to do PT for next 5 weeks to gain mobility in his mcl before they operate. They need to scope out his knee to remove debris and will reconstruct his cartilage with graphing under the kneecap. They put a new brace on him that stabilizes his patella today so that had him excited. They said his full recovery will be about seven months which also bummed him out because they said he also can’t play golf but the good news is he’ll be ready to go and stronger than ever come next season. Thank you to all who have reached out ❤️❤️🙏🏈

Kayson dislocated his knee on Friday nights game which in turn tore some surrounding ligaments. X-rays were taken this morning and fortunately no broken bones, but ultrasound confirmed a tear in his mcl, and now we are waiting to get called back for an mri to see what stage it is and if his acl was impacted. They drained 15 ccs of blood out of his knee this morning to reduce some of the swelling. We appreciate all the love and care you all have sent his way and are praying for good news and hopefully no surgery is needed 🙏❤️
