During Valentine’s Day weekend, February 13–15, 2026, I had the honor of attending the 118th Far Western Regional Founders’ Day Conference, hosted by the Xi Psi Omega Chapter in Anchorage, Alaska.

Upon arriving in Anchorage, I attended the Pink Polar Prelude Event hosted by the Gamma Alpha Chapter of Omega Psi Fraternity, Inc. This social provided a wonderful opportunity to connect with fellow members of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc., through an evening of dancing, fellowship, and sisterhood.

On Day 2, I attended the Luncheon and Rededication Ceremony, where I had the privilege of actively participating and being incorporated into the rededication ceremony. Following the luncheon, Soror Val, Soror Loveda, and I spent time exploring downtown Anchorage, enjoying the city's beauty, and strengthening our sisterly bond. Later that evening, the host chapter of the conference, Xi Psi Omega, presented the Boots, Buckles, and Bling Snow-Kissed Western Soirée, where I enjoyed an unforgettable night of dancing, bonding, and celebrating sisterhood.

On Day 3, we gathered in our Sunday best to attend church, followed by a meaningful sisterhood brunch. After the conference concluded, Soror Val and I continued exploring downtown Anchorage and connecting with locals, bringing a memorable close to an incredible weekend.

I am deeply grateful for the opportunity to celebrate our legacy, participate in such meaningful traditions, and strengthen the bonds of sisterhood in such a beautiful place.

The Kappa Xi Chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated® was honored to attend the 2025 Intermountain Cluster Conference in Tucson, Arizona.

Titled LeadHERship the Power of Inclusivity, the weekend was a beautiful testament to our strong sisterhood. Through engaging workshops, meaningful conversations, and invaluable networking events, we deepened our bonds and bridged connections with the lovely pearls from across the desert.

A true highlight was the inspiring and enlightening breakfast with our esteemed Far Western Regional Director, Ms. Nicole Starr Jordan @msnicholestarr We left with renewed purpose and immense pride. We are profoundly grateful for the opportunity to have attended, and we are more excited than ever to witness and contribute to the spectacular heights our sisters continue to soar to. ✨

When I choreographed this in 2018 I don’t think Instagram would let you post the whole thing. I ran across it and wanted to share. I’m so thankful for these students who taught me to be a better teacher. This piece was about the intricacies of human connection and relationships… called.. “I‘ll Take Care of You.” I would sob watching this dance. I was clearly going through something at the time… 🤪 I hope you enjoy. ♥️🙏🏼
