7 weeks ago if you had told me I’d be making life long friends who are so healthy for me I would’ve never believed you. This school has taught me the most pure sense of friendship within your early years as an adult. Every single one of these girls have helped me grow as a person and within my career, everyone is so supportive of one another and always pushing you to do your best. I am so incredibly thankful to have met these amazing ladies and can’t wait to see where each of us go. Can’t wait to see you guys down on the floor starting wednesday! 1300 hours to go! #pmts #pmtscharlotte

this week we closed the first chapter in my school journey: core class🥹 we have been learning foundational skills for the past two months, but have also learned even more than that. walking in on the first day of class, i didn’t know what to expect or what kind of decision i committed to. little did i know i would grow to love these people so much and gain a school family.

at class, we are welcomed just for who we are. we are celebrated for any small accomplishment. we are encouraged if we mess up. & above those things, our differences are what connects us. the beauty that comes from humanity coming together and accepting differences is something i wish more people could see. building true connections with people is more than agreeing with them, it is seeing them for who they really are and loving them anyway. we are all on a journey, “walking each other home.” let’s love on the way there. 🤍

God knew what he was doing when he gave me the gut feeling to choose @pmtscharlotte . i cannot wait to spend the next year with these people growing, learning, and thriving!!! they will do so amazing, i’m so proud of them! core cuties out, adaptive cuties in🫶

with this being said, in this new chapter i will now be taking clients every week at school! i would love to be your girl💖 come see me!! thank you so much for your endless support and encouragement, it keeps me going💌✨

Life for the past 7-8 weeks has been challenging. Walking into school the 1st day, I didn’t know what this new stage would look like for me. How was I going to navigate being a present mom, a good wife, an entrepreneur, & be a full-time student? Will the other students be nice & take the program seriously? I NEED the right people around me to keep me motivated at school. Do those people exist? Yes, they do 💕 Yesterday was the cutest day so far in our program. Paul Mitchell has something called “Character Award Day”. A few weeks ago, each person in my class drew a name from a bucket & was told to keep the name a secret, MAKE a gift for them that represents their Character, and present it to them. Everyone had SUCH thoughtful gifts!!! I forgot to take a photo of the award I gave, but I made a blanket for a friend that had words of affirmation & photos on it that represented their personality. The person that had me, gave me a painting & a drawing as well as a really sweet speech. Another student gave us all bible verses. And another student (the day before) made us all lunch and shared her gratitude to us for being patient with her as she navigates school, her new life in USA, & learning to speak English. There were also too many speeches to count from fellow students sharing their gratuity for the whole class. There were a LOT of tears yesterday!! I have some AMAZING classmates that have truly restored my faith in humanity. I joke that “All I do in school is cry”, because DAILY someone will do or say something that makes my heart want to explode!!!! Paul Mitchell The School is doing a fantastic job of guiding us, not just with Hair, but with LIFE! Other cosmetology students have warned me that this sweet stage won’t last. School & the people in it will change moving forward. That may be true, but I will cherish these last two months forever and know that my classmates & I were put into this class together for a reason. I’m so thankful for them & for the experience I have had during my Core class! Next week we will be in Adaptive class, which means we will begin working on actual humans. I’m ready! (I think) I got this! (I hope) 😜
