2023 for Flowstate has been everything! It was a year of growth, opportunities, learning experiences and overall progress. 💯

Thanks to our friends at Acrofit since they put our name in the hat, recommending that “Shuffling” especially our group Flowstate. Should be one of the many dance forms performed at the famous AIDF.

After months of back and forth contact as well as forms - content sent for review. We we’re graciously awarded the opportunity from the board of directors to dance- along side some of the best dancers in the Us! Recognizing our dance style as a professional dance art! 🥹🥲

From there we gathered a group of amazing dancers, hand selected that not only committed personally but professionally to the task.

We wanted to showcase shapes, shuffling and most importantly flow. Choreographed by Admins Brittany and Cass was the perfect opportunity to show the mission of Flowstate.

The video you see here was taken by Cynder from our flow community which is missing the intro but is all we have at the moment to currently highlight this amazing memory of 2023.

Big shout out to Susan for everything-from her support, guidance, mentorship and grace to test the boundaries as a new performance group in a professional setting.

Thank you to our leads Britt and Raquel for coordinating this amazing opportunity. Lastly, to all the dancers, choreographers and teachers that helped spread shuffle/shapes-flow awareness in the dance community for day one and two of the festival.

Heck we even had Cass lead a class so all ages could see what shuffling was all about! 🫶

What an amazing two day sold out performance to use as a baseline to work with as we head into 2024 growing with knowledge as a new community. Let’s manifest many more opportunities like this to come! 🙌🏼

Phenomenal dance lifts class by @acrojames

He excellently covered the mechanics, objectives, and spotting components of each move. It was a blast getting to move in the sunshine and the class was full of laughter, discoveries, and much success.

One thing I really appreciated was how he mentioned his goal of creating a class where everyone can take something new from it. @julesbeachyoga and I definitely did.

As an added bonus we got to work with great friends of ours @ginoplantain and @kayvixn

Perfect day

Enjoy a clip from one of the Jax shuffle events held last July. This one makes me glow as it’s the first time I got to make a formal video with this one of a kind dancer @kayvixn. Her moves and style is one I have been trying to perfect for years! That Miami style baby!

I am blessed to be around her kindness, leadership and ability to choreo at the drop of a hat. Not to mention she doses stunts!

Oh and of course, let’s not forget the many others that were there that day! It’s so beautiful to watch the community grow!

Happy these videos are in queue as I have been excited to share this and a few others for some time as this was one for the books. 💎

Today is the day! The highly anticipated Flowstate Cinematic Collab with Tydn! 🪽⚡️🪽

The fact that this idea came to fruition is an absolute honor! Recognizing his talent from AI to music and much more, made it all the more special that the universe chose US to inspire him to create and complete a track he was working on. Knowing it was made for FLOWSTATE equally inspired our team to deliver the best shuffle production we had to offer. With grace, we accepted this challenge as we love to see when DJ’s and producers support the shuffle community the way he does! 🥲🥲

This project was a first for many of us and when we all manifest greatness I swear our team ALWAYS comes together to make it happen! 💪🏼

In the creative process our Admins Raquel and Brittany worked seamlessly replicating the actual video given by TYdn to make it come to life from AI to RL (real life). Playing with shuffling choreo as well as lyrical- contemporary freestyle. 💯

That was just the beginning so a few shout outs to each of you as it was a dream to watch this idea come to fruition!

Brittany- choreography, mentorship, editing, videography.

Jazz- first Collab, communication, background design- material and babysitting.

Karina- shirt design- creation, lyrical- contemporary guidance, editing suggestions and mentorship.

Cass- videography- lighting and hype girl!

Raquel- creative producer- point Admin- costume donation- creation.

Without further ado… enjoy our FlOWSTATE from us to you! 🌴🙏👟

Saved the best for last with the Halloween 👻 Boo Bash videos from 2021. Enjoy an Acro shuffle compilation put together by @kayvixn. Although I acted as a “hype” girl in the back the moves that were choreographed for this number made me smile from ear to ear. Especially since this is the first time it was done in my presence. How creative! ⭐️🙌🏼
