We're excited to welcome Susana Oliveros Amaya, Kayla Williams, and Gearóid O’Dea as our three newest visiting artists! Please stop by to visit to learn more about their work!

Also, for the next two months as a part of the Call to Dream: The Sam Francis Fellowship, Andrés Cortes (@apc_ortes) will be visiting SOMA (@somamexico)!

Susana Oliveros Amaya (@ssusanaoliverosamayaa) is a Colombian artist currently based in Mexico whose work researches consumption as a practice that happens with and from things, and that deals with value, desire and taste. She is fascinated with the surface and design of household goods and this has led her to reflect on the ideology of these products and how they acquire meaning. This residency is also part of the Call to Dream: The Sam Francis Fellowship.

Kayla Williams (@kaywilltatts) is a multidisciplinary artist whose work moves fluidly between illustration, painting, and tattooing. Rooted in surrealism and the subconscious mind, her practice reimagines everyday life through a dreamlike lens—where the familiar bends into something extraordinary.

Gearóid O’Dea (@gearoidodea) is a Dublin-based artist whose practice centres on painting and drawing, often extending into installation. His work is characterised by a vibrant palette and a collage-inspired approach to composition. He is particularly interested in the human figure, using it as a vehicle to explore the quiet undercurrents of an OCD anxiety disorder.
